Re: one big problem id like to stop right away
"they play LOOSER than the LOOSEST players in your regular game."
I've played quite a bit at other So Cal casinos, but went to Commerce for the first time last night. Those people are batsh*t...

First trip to Commerce....
SWEET JESUS!!!!!!
It took 10 minutes for the first 3 hands to be dealt. This crazy Asian lady with black sunglasses called for the floor over and over and over again. Someone limp-capped preflop...

Re: Call down or forget it? HG 20/40
Sparks - were you there last night? If you were at the table closer to the service area (further from the brush), the villian was in seat 6. I really hesitated before folding, but I did.

"It also depends somewhat on the dynamic between me and this particular opponent."
This was actually a big part of my decision. We did not have a dynamic at that point, he had a lot of money in...

Call down or forget it? HG 20/40
Hawaiian Gardens 20/40
I am unknown to the table and playing very tight. Villian limps from MP. Folded to me in the BB, I have K6o. I rap.
Villian is a true LAG - sees 40% of flops, and he...

Re: 20/40
Hi - I read everything again, and I still don't understand. It is very true that a solid player earns himself the right to pick up a pot every now and then. But cold calling a raise with a bad hand...

Tough beat...
He took a shot with a marginal hand in position. It's no biggie (other than the result, of course). I wouldn't adjust much at all - his postflop play was very straightforward given...

Re: I will . . .
If you read either book, you'd be the best player at any low-limit table around here. It's always a good idea to get different perspectives, even if one is "inferior", especially since SSHE claims...

Re: you can never be too careful
He's either way ahead or way behind, couldn't possibly get a better hand to fold, and there are no draws on the board. And he gets to smooth roll the "monster", which really isn't a monster if you...

Re: 150-300 J6s sb
Playing devil's advocate - at least in a full game, you can have good relative position. Here, the hero has the worst position and the worst position relative to the preflop raiser. Having the...

Re: Betraisebetraisebetraise
Seems like villian put you on a draw+pair or something and pulled a stop and go? Maybe he has AA or KK. Perhaps CO had the draw + pair, T9 or something, and made a bad call on the river.

Re: Taking a shot in a big pot.
What % of the thought process of the play revolved around the K falling on the turn? In other words, did you script this play through at the flop or was the K the insight to the play?

Geez, the other 4 guys are paying your salaries, you'd think you could put on a better show. I hope the BB was smart enough not to give you a wink or a nod or something.

Re: 10/20 Bike - AK troubles
It is still that bad, when it's going. HP is the only other SoCal club I know of that spreads 10-20, but they cut off the low limit section at 6-12. The Bike spreads 8-16. The type of person who...

Re: Which play is worse?
I vote for playing from the BB being better (less worser). A raiser and many cold callers is more likely to mean cards >=10 and/or pocket pairs, making the chances for a 94x, 99x, or 44x flop go up....
