Re: AK OOP 10/20 Party

I play AK just like you Kratzer. I think it's tough for a lot of players (even tight players) to lay down overpairs on a rag board even with a reraise. For example, if a 9-high board comes down,...

Re: Top set against a suspected flushdraw

100 sounds about right to me, maybe something like 90. Your still giving incorrect odds for a draw, but it doesn't have the "feel" of a pot-sized bet that will fold out the pair hands.

Re: Flopped lowend str8 in BB max400

If you are just going to call a bet, you are opening yourself up to a lot of heat. MP may be semibluffing any of the hands you described (heart draw, open ender with the Q) or betting another made...

Re: Flopped lowend str8 in BB max400

Your raise was barely a min raise, so you gave good enough odds to anyone drawing for a flush or with a bare Q to call. I really think that, out of position on such a coordinated board that would...

Re: 10/20 Fired two barrels and the flush comes.. now what?

Call me weak-tight, but i check fold.

Villain has shown a tendency to call any bet, regardless of the bet's size, and a club comes on the river. You've been betting so hard that I think he would...

Re: whats my equity with 47s?

Are you sure you can't expand his hand range a bit more? It's 4-handed, he only min raised you preflop, and then he bets the exact size of the pot.

IMO, his min reraise opens up his hand range a...

Re: EV question

I like a small turn raise, more than a min raise but not a raise designed to blow someone off A10, for instance. My reasons:

1. Villain will almost certainly call a turn raise with TPTK, or...

Re: 5-10 river scare

I would bet a bit more than 150 on the river, thats less than half the pot and your flop/turn bet have been more than that.

I would bet ~225 and fold to a raise, I get the impression that the...

Re: Sony VAIO Screen Resolution

Ok, that's what I thought. I have connected it to another monitor for higher resolutions but I have yet to find a suitable monitor for myself.

Thanks for the help.

Sony VAIO Screen Resolution

Hey all -

I have a Sony Vaio, relatively new, that only supports 1024x768 resolution at the max. Is this a monitor issue? Or a video card issue? Either way, I'm not too sure about how to fix...

Re: Easy River Bet?

I like the push. I'm very confused as to the BB's line though, what would he call the flop on and then lead the turn? Maybe he thought you were buying it on the flop?? I stick it in here. You...

Re: Small flush against a possible huge bluff

IMO, the way I've seen these monotone boards being played (by bad players of course) is this:

Preflop raiser bets the flop, preflop caller overbets the pot (or even moves in !!! ) with just the A...

Re: 2/5 NL game at the Bellagio

I would be happy with taking down that pot on the flop uncontested.

I also think that, because of the straddled pots you should play a bit looser to take down the dead money in the pot, and that a...

Re: Live hand for review 5-150 spread limit

Because of your read on LP, I give him credit for some of your outs. If he had Jx, aggie would be right, you do have
18 outs (3 A, 3 K, 4 Q, 8 spade).
However, you still probably have 15 (AJ) or...

Re: A marginal hand situation

This sort of situation. It's worth a limp if i can stack someone. You're right though, a fold preflop would have saved me some worry.

Anyway, I ended up just calling his raise, not wanting to...

A marginal hand situation

I am sitting in a 2/4 game that full of terrible post-flop players that are willing to give up their stack on marginal holdings.

Both me and the villain are sitting on stacks of about 800.

4...

And fold to a raise on the flop?

And by the way Mark, since you live in East Lansing have you ever been to the 200 NL on either Frye Street or at ZBT ?

Re: Very tough spot for me in a 600 game

Where did the villain raise from? Is he an observant player? If so, I would go ahead and bet the full pot if you think he perceives you as solid. I feel that anything less will be read as weak,...
