Re: Am I an idiot? (Pushing with nothing)

I don't think you're an idiot. A Big Blind all-in steal is a move you need to have in your arsenal.
Most of the time when you have a few limpers they'll fold to a big raise...they just wanted to see...

Middle set plus top pair...do you play this like top set?

I saw the hand that Phil Hellmuth busted out on in the WSOP PLO event.
QQKx and the flop comes QKx.

The way he played the hand got me to thinking...when you have top pair plus middle set, do you...

Please recommend some good books/articles on Omaha strategy

I've searched the bookstores and all the Omaha books are for hi-low split, I can't find anything for plain Omaha high, either pot limit or limit.

Thanks in advance for your help

Where are the softest PLO games?

I'm fairly new to PLO and wondering where the softest cash games are for $25 and $50 PLO.

I know for HE and Stud party has the softest cash games but I don't know if that's true for Omaha also.

Re: Question about non nut flushes

Ok so it looks like what both of you are saying is that I'm looking to flop a wrap around straight draw that gives me 12-15 outs or top two pair which would also give me an open ended straight draw...

Question about non nut flushes

I've been reading up on Omaha and noticed that most authors love hands like 89TJds and 9TJQds and it makes alot of sense.

However I'm wondering how hard you can push with a Jack or Ten high flush?...

Much of this advice is context dependent. Limping behind is not necessarily bad, but it's important to ask yourself: are you going to lose 100 BBs if you flop top pair Q kicker and...

Again, I considered AKs here instead of AKo, because AKo is even farther behind a pocket pair. 5% might not seem like a great deal to be behind a pair of twos, but that means that out...

Re: Could I have gotten away from this hand?

Ok here's what I learned so far.
Limping behind from the button was a decent play.

Not leading on the flop was a bad play because of the possible draws. I should have made a pot sized bet on the...

According to pokertracker I'm slightly LAG preflop and Aggressive post flop.

Is this good or not? This is all new to me.
