Don't be afraid to fire a second time just because UTG leads the turn with a weak blocking bet. It is my experience that bets of this type are very rarely representative of a strong hand.

Save yourself some money next time and check/call the flop. Soo many hands beat you (i.e. JJ, TT, AQ, AK, KJ, JT) and if you hit your draw its not unlikely villian will have hit his as well.

How about "not dumb but not smart"?
OOP, bump it another 400-450 and fold to any future strength. A re-raise like that will often make a flush draw reconsider and an over pair or AQ is likely to...

IMO, Villain played this hand perfectly. Seems Villain put Hero on a smaller flush, smaller flush-draw, or positional play and let Hero hang himself.
