Re: bottom 2 pair flop fold?

No offense, but playing T3 in the SB...hitting a miracle 2 pair and still losing 1/3 of a stack (assuming you folded...or your whole stack if you called)...serves you right. How could anyone playing...

Re: 2/5 Live hand against good LAG

Against a player like that, I cant see raising with 99 and then betting that flop as being profitable.

You cant put him on a hand and I assume you really dont want to play for you stack here.

Re: 1/2 Live AA hand... I really donked this up.

I played that game one time while I was waiting for a $2/$5 table to open up. I raised two limpers to $20 (with KQ) and they both called. I agree with Adam that you can raise to $30 with AA and...

Re: Live 1-2, KK played too weakly?

Well if you dont bet the turn and he hits his 2 outter on the river for free, youre going to be pretty pissed. He also could have 56s of hes tricky.

Also, its pretty rare in these low limit games...

Re: Live 1-2, KK played too weakly?

Calling the flop is fine, but checking behind on the turn is criminal.

Re: $2/$5 NL Live hand

I called his turn raise. The river was another 5. I checked and he checked behind and asked if I filled up. He had 86. I really thought he had a set, not 86 for a straight.

$2/$5 NL Live hand

$2/$5 NL Live at WinStar in Oklahoma.
The table is pretty passive as it always seems to be there. Not alot of big hands.

2 limpers to me and I check in the BB with J9 of spades.

Pot is $15. ...

Re: 2/5 Live NL I love playing big pots with 1 pair

Ive played that game a few times. Im going tomorrow as a matter of fact. The players are bad and they almost all make those ridiculous 1/4 pot bets after raising preflop. Then they bet the same...

Re: QQ vs minraise on a dry board (200 6 max)

You may well be ahead of the range of hands that he will min raise you with, but youre not ahead of the range of hands that he'll call an all in with.

Re: QQ vs minraise on a dry board (200 6 max)

Pushing is the worst possible move. Call, fold, or even reraise, but pushing is not smart.

If you want to get all in, just call and raise the turn all in.

Re: 10/20NL KK Facing Reraise

I dont want the cutoff coming along so I reraise now. I would rather take the chance of him folding QQ, than have a 3 way flop with QJx...or QTx...or AJx...or any number of other bad flops.

Re: Game Selection: Money on the table.

I dont mind playing with 1 or 2 short stacks because they normally do stink pretty badly, but I dont like playing all short stakcs because there just inst enough money to win.

Its particularly...

Re: Some PT stats for my last 50k hands, are these #\'s off?

That makes sense, but are you saying that he wouldve hit 10 straight flushes had he seen the flop with those cards, but only won with 3 of them?

Or did he really win 3 times with straight flushes?

Re: Some PT stats for my last 50k hands, are these #\'s off?

Ive never looked closely at this page in PT so excuse me if Im an idiot, but how do you get
10 straight flushes when only seeing the flop 4 times
How do you only win with 3 of the straight flushes...

Re: 2/4 KK faces a tough flop decision

Once UTG+1 folds, why not raise the BB all in? I dont believe he has a flush or AK, but will still call with alot of other hands.

He probably has QJ and is probably bad enough to call.

Re: Variance NL vs. Limit

Unless you play one hell of a LAG game or play very short handed, NL variance is alot smaller than limit. Just look at a limit and a NL players win rate graphs

Re: 2/4 KK right line?

I like that line alot better when theres no flush draw. It'll suck if he checks behind and hits a flush. (or if he has 44 and hits a straight)

Re: 2/4 bottom 2 on flop.. commit myself?

He could have AQ, but he could have 33, TT or a flush draw also. All of those have crushed. I dont like your flop reraise or your turn push.

Re: Minraised on the turn, MEH!

Nobody ever believes you have an 8 when you bet from the blind with that flop, so his turn raise doesnt mean youre behind by any stretch.

However, if you reraise, hes probably going to fold unless...

Re: river bluff 200 6max

He doesnt have a K, but hes not going to believe you do either. I think hes callng you here unless his turn check raise was a total bluff which I doubt.

Rarely is a turn min check raise a bluff. ...
