Re: Sponger\'s Quest

This should probably be a new thread, but can you offer any suggestions as to the best way to do this?

I feel most comfortable nut peddling at full ring tables, but feel that in order to progress...

Re: AKs hand

Also, I'm with you on big slick. Right now, it's a money loser for me too. Very frustrating hand sometimes.

Re: AKs hand

The only way I play this hand differently is when I still didn't catch on the turn. Maybe I'm weak tight, but I would check. Depending on how much the CO raised (assuming they do) I might call, I...

Re: Am I a weak-tight mofo?

Everytime I have made a substantial raise with Kings and someone has moved all in, when I call they show Aces.

He made the right call IMO.

Re: Daliman, ZeeJustin, Jason Strasser and...

Since you are already playing SNG's for money I wouldn't bother with any of the software programs. I started out practicing with the Wilson programs and Masques WSOP game. While it helped me get my...

I'm at 8 and counting. Didn't think it was possible to go that long, but here I am.

Re: CONGRATS to Fossilman

I couldn't agree more.

Keep working on your game friend, the poker sites are going to get even busier now! Time to make some money...

Re: World Champ?. My dog plays better than Harrington.

C'mon Bau, you don't think Raymer had to catch a couple of lucky hands to get where he did? Or Moneymaker last year?

Harrington made it to the final table two years in a row. That says it all...

Re: FossilMan

Yea me too. I really wish Sklansky would quit posting this address in his books also. Doesn't he realize this will create more traffic?

You guys who think this web site should be your exclusive...

Re: My first 2-table SNG on Stars(Warning - Newbie content!)

Hey guys, I live up in Akron. There is a web site:

ohiocharitygaming.com that lists Hold'em tournament events that they hold in the Columbus area. I haven't played in one yet, but have...

Re: OK to fold TT?

Judging by the replies given, I still have a lot to learn.

I would have done exactly what you did and mucked my tens. Since I've only played 600 hands of NL, I don't feel to bad!

Re: Bluntly put - was this play of mine stupid?

I would have either called or mucked at the river. Other than that I think you played it right.

What are the odds of someone hitting a runner runner flush. Isn't it something like 46:1? That...

Re: Should I have known my hand was no good here?

I really don't see how you could have laid that hand down.

In hindsight you should have made a large bet on the flop, but the guy only had two outs. I would chalk it up to a bad beat and break...

Re: kk questions

Although I'm trying very hard to become a tight/aggressive player, I'm obviously still weak tight.

I would have folded when the UTG bet out on the flop. My reasoning for this would be that at the...

Re: Anybody with a 50%+ in the money:SNGs?

No, 42% in the money playing the $5 SNG's at Paradise, Absolute and Stars mostly.

Not sure how I would calculate ROI.

I will not elaborate or go into any other detail, since that seems to...

Re: Thoughts on this hand???

What kind of thoughts are you looking for?

Great hand!

If it was me, I don't know if I would have stayed in after he bet the flop, but I'm new to N/L and generally don't play drawing hands post...

Re: APES are playing ONLINE using Sklansky\'s All-in system

I don't know, if this guy is such a smart businessman, why would he go public? I question how much money they are really making.

I'll stop in to try and watch some of the tournaments they are in...

Re: Dealing with quick exits

I wait. If I have an average stack, and it's still early in the tournament I try and wait for a decent hand.

Unless the blinds are going eat up the rest of your chips in the next 3-4 rounds,...

Mistake or bad beat?

This was at Party on the $25 N/L table. My stack was $38, his $33.10.

I’ve thought about this hand and I just don’t see how else I could have played it. Maybe going all in after the flop?
