Re: NL600: Trips with 54s against a preflop raiser

the fact that he raised from the sb widens his range of hands quite a bit. Is he a player who tries to steal from the sb?

I am pretty sure you got him beat right now. But you got a real dilemma...

Re: OESD\'s checked to in position - do you bet these?

i usually take the free cards offered in situations like this for several reasons.

It really depends on how dangerous my cards will look if I hit. If my straightcards will make the board look like...

Re: Flopped Set, Horrible Turn, River Lead

You are behind only to AKs in clubs and QQ.
Calling isn't terrible, and I read his 20$ bet on the river as a blockingbet, so i guess a valueraise is the correct play by the book, but in moments...

Re: Do I give up on my semi-bluff here?

The fact that he first just called a bet then raised allin means either of 2 things:

-He is holding a set and dont want to take away your chance of making a move, or is hoping for you to do a...

Re: When, if ever, RR with AK PF?

in LP i always re-raise a minirase with callers holding AKs.

I save the flushpotential for the times when i have Axs.

I consider AKs to be a premium holding, and in position, i play it as such.

Re: When, if ever, RR with AK PF?

Me myself dont consider a miniraise to represent much strength, thus, i do tend to re-raise with AK depending on the number of people that called the first miniraise.
With AK in position, i want to...

Re: blocking bet minraised, fold?

if i got it right, a blocking bet is a carefull measured bet that you lay OOP, designed to only be raised if you are beaten.

The reason you do a blockingbet is that you got a hand that you want...

Re: 2 Free Card Hands; compare differences

A very good post.

I'd say i'd be more inclined to give a free card in hand # 1 as you

-You induce bluffs from worse holdings by checking behind.
-you got a hand that you wish to show down. (so...

Re: NL 200, anyone find a fold here?

The cold callers handrange range from a lone five, flushdraw, a low overpair, pair+Flushdraw, two pair, a lower set or a made straight. The coldcallers handrange is far to big and filled with hands...

Re: Going all the way in reraised pots - you reraised OOP?

Here is my two cents.

Lets say i re-raise with KK out of the blinds and it comes all rags, i bet regardless. If it comes an A, well, then it's all villain dependant really. If i am up against a...

Re: AA hand

Without reads i tend to take the weak way out from the turn throughout, and that is to not 2-bet the turn but to call it down. What you are doing is getting value from a hand such as AT, JJ, QQ or...

When your CB:s get check raised.

I think this has been brought up before.

Pretty standard table, a couple of loose and passive players and a couple of solid ones, all participants pack 100bb:s each.
Lets say you sit in late...

Re: Bottom two pair, I raise all-in on the river

i'd just call.

If you raise here, it's a bluff. I dont see a worse hand calling.
A worse 2-pair might call, but then you're lucky /images/graemlins/smile.gif

How about medium pocket pairs? Could she do this with JJ, TT, 99, 88 and 66?

But i agree with you there.. when someone min-cr when you fire the flop, they often got 1 pair beat.
Depending on...
