Re: Is the way I play this straight costing me money?

Overbet the Flop. This is going to look like TP trying to drive out the straight draw. You will get called by lots of hands that you are ahead of. 1/2 to 3/4 pot on the turn. Your looking for hands...

Re: Slow Playing in High Low?

I lost quad 8's on the flop to runner runner q's the other day. I slowplayed the 8's, but I really thought flopped quads was a good candidate for it. Can't imagine you'll lose quads over quads often...

Re: more river aggression on trips?

You have position. Sb could be minibetting anything. What about a raise on the flop? If he comes back over the top, fold. If he checks on the turn blank, check and get the free card. When your 8...

Re: True Life: I\'m dead broke

When I took the test to join the Army, a high school graduate had to score a 25 to get in. Not claiming to be a genius or anything, just so you can compare. I was 17 years old and had taken my G.E.D....

Re: Did I run into an expert?

No, I'm not good enough. That's why I'm getting my money in early, while I think I'm ahead. I've given up on slow play for the most part. I would have slowplayed this if the flop had been 99T, but...

Re: Did I run into an expert?

My problem with that is you are building a pot that will be very hard to get away from against a stack that can bust you out. I think a decent raise as you say on the flop is very dangerous. So many...

Eastbay's program calls for pushing with any 2 here. As long as you haven't been doing anything totally nuts, do you guys agree?

Re: $55s - Bizarre AK Hand

Don't tell me. AA. One of those guys who hates AA so he raises way too much, hoping to steal the blinds.

Re: Did I run into an expert?

With the pot bet on the flop Villian really has no reason to think you are on a flush draw. Very few players will bet a draw that hard. In his mind, if he was thinking, was that you were holding top...

Bet the flop. Flat call if he mini-raises or push if it's a decent raise. Push the turn.

Re: did i play this wrong everywhere???

Ok, now that we have a hand. You have 2 limps. You have position, and blinds yet to act. Raise more. 3x's BB is when it hasn't been opened. Add the limpers. 5 to 6 x's here. So let's say raise to...
