Re: Do you have to warm up before playing poker?

i think that you do have to get into the right "frame-of-mind", and everyone has their own methods.

try browsing 2+2 for a half hour before you play--- might help

i usually replay a hand...

Re: How many people play the $215s?

i'm a current regular... i don't 8-table them, because i usually play in sets it takes too long to fill them up...

but i usually play 4 215s with 4 109s.

i have too small of a sample size to...

Re: Is 5k sng\'s played enough?

Re: Running Bad: Slow down?

the two hardest things for a poker player are winning and losing.

try to play good poker regardless of your recent short-term results.

i also have a tendency to play less when i'm winning and...

if you were the BB, it would be super-automatic... there...

Re: standard?

buy-in is important to know.

if you're playing in a 55 or lower buyin, i'd say raise a lot more preflop, bet pot on flop... if it was a higher buy-in, i would still raise more preflop

also--- i...

Re: Is it possible to win 7 sit in go\'s?

i just placed in 7 of my last 7 SNGs on Party... 4 firsts, 1 second, 2 thirds.... 5 of them 109s, 2 215s... it's been a good day.

of course you have to be lucky to win 7 in a row... but an amazing...

Re: I didn\'t think you could do this

i've noticed this before as well, and wondered about it.

it appears that if someone raises all-in, you can always reraise.

i'm not sure whether this is standard or not... but it's standard on...

Re: Added slowplaying to my arsenal today

in this cash game instance--- did you ALWAYS call bets all the way to the river, then raise or fold--- or did you just do it when you flopped a big hand or a great draw?

i assure you that the only...

Re: I know I\'m weak. 109

i think that you should play the 55s for a while. the same decisions that you've been posting will present themselves there, and you'll learn at a discount.

Re: Party 55 I have TT but how proud am I?

yes-- not only that-- but if you call, it makes it much more tempting for the big stack to call... even if you have the best hand, there will be a lot of bullets to dodge.

Re: $109: Is this a Bluff?!?

i play the 109s and if i made this bet, 80% of the time it wouldn't be a bluff.

i make a lot of overbets and big river bets with good hands, and have a lot of success with it.

plus-- the "long...

Re: $215: Interesting use of the min. bet

Re: straight-flush draw flop...family pot

i disagree that you'll get more action when you hit--- especially if you hit the flush... the straight, maybe-- people pay a straight off more often than a flush.

i like sweetening the pot here---...
