Re: um, QQ fold preflop?

first hand of a party super you'd have to tie my hands behind my back to keep me from pushing, and then id probably push with my nose.

Re: Playing the opponents hand and not yours.

This was almost a really good post.

We take a flop of 8d 5s 2s heads-up. The guy bets t1,000. I consider raising to t3,000 to get him off a strong Ace, but luckily realize how stupid...

Re: Gosh... AQ against a donk. Party 30+3 w/ 250 entrants

I will call with lots of hands from the BB. A10s, 67s, 108s, J10s and sometimes AA/KK. I'm pretty much always reraising QQ/JJ/AK/AQ and often but not always reraising with AA/KK especially if they...

Re: Gosh... AQ against a donk. Party 30+3 w/ 250 entrants

not reraising preflop with these stacks is fairly criminal.

Re: I\'m a major LAG

If you are 100% sure that he has AA/KK then you are limping purely for set value which is ok as its less than 10%. It is also possible to not go broke on an all low flop. Just play carefully, like...

Re: Splitting the MTT Forum

Ok, some random points.

1. I think there is more than enough traffic to support a split.

2. There is definitely a difference in play between a 3 dollar tourney and a sunday special. However...

Re: A Post Splitting Suggestion for Elite Players-MLG et al

well, if I hadn't lost 3 coinflips 2 of which would have given me the chip lead, and 1 of which would have out me in 2nd i would have. and on the first gutshot I actually had 7 outs on the river (as...

Re: A Post Splitting Suggestion for Elite Players-MLG et al

A couple of reactions to this idea. First, I think that the problems posed by establishing a group of posters would impossible to overcome. Honestly, it was decided it wasn't even a good idea to...

Re: Sometimes being a LAG gets you in trouble.

no. but your understanding of the gap concept is quite flawed. there are reasons not to play this hand here and adanthar highlighted them fairly well. the gap concept is not one of them.

Re: Bellagio 5diamond Hand

lol, when was the last time you played with a 300 BB stack? It allows for profitably playing a lot more hands if you're good, and thinking you can profitable play a lot more hands if you arent.

Re: Missed a draw and fired; Am I in a dark tunnel?

gimme a fcking break. there's nothing wrong with this play when used on occasion. In fact this is a pretty good time to try it because given the possibility that the villain was on a flush draw a...

Re: 88 in EP. (Stars $20 Deepstack) Oh, and i\'m a calling station.

Preflop.
Raising and calling are both fine. I'd dislike the raise if players behind you had you covered, but they dont, so im down.

Flop.
I like. Sometimes I'll bet here, a normal cb but also...

There are so many things that can go wrong for awada its scary in that spot that the concept of it boggles my mind. Dags needs to not have a monster, and the raiser cant have AA/KK/QQ/JJ because he...

I like how you played it. There are so many things that can go wrong if you raise with the action in front of you that I hate building a big pot. If Joe picks a spot where 3 people have shown...

Re: iMsoLucky0 confuses me.

Its a pretty dry flop. There are no real draws that the BB can have. You have to worry about him hitting an overcard sure, but thats a small price to pay in exchange for controling the size of the...

Re: iMsoLucky0 confuses me.

given the recent history between you two, I'd check the flop here with the plan of calling a turn bet and getting to showdown cheap. If he follows through on the river you have to strongly consider...

Re: FT Hand - Hero is a thief

no, but lets do some simple calulating. there's 10k in the pot, now lets say that he bets 8k on the river when he hits (thats a big bet, but thats what hero bet so ill just use that). villain hits...

so, you think there are a lot of hands that we are ahead of that would call the turn bet, but would then check fold the river if we checked behind on the turn? maybe some weak draws...but there are...

Re: JJ, fishy game...do I want callers or don\'t I?

one other thing i meant to add. raising big is not only to thin the field it is also to make players make bigger mistakes. if sombody has J10 and calls 60 more thats great, if they call 160 more...
