10/20 NL variance

This isn't me but someone I am aquainted with who lost 50k in 1 week playing 10/20 NL. He played roughly 8 hours a day so let's say 56 hours total losing 25 buyins.

Is this up there with the worst...

Re: Second pair vs. suspicious turn raise.

I want to make sure I'm hearing James right. The move here is the check and fold the turn?

I guess I don't feel so hot about check / folding with 2nd pair on a paired board after it's been checked...

Re: question for BK and Dcifrths

While we are on the topic of limping, raising, or folding after limpers with smallish pocket pairs how do you guys play these in shorthanded tables.

6 handed, UTG or MP limps, you are CO or button...

100/200 4 handed

I guess I should post this in HUSH but I just dont trust those guys.

BB is a somewhat aggressive solid player. He may or may not 3 bet out of the blinds with small to medium pocket pairs 22-99. We...

Re: Blind defense against schneids...

I play the same game and I like to 3 bet this pre flop as well. It feels like the lead is giving me a lot of K and Q high flops. I maintain the lead until given a very good reason not to. Maybe I'm...

Re: Commerce 100-200 report. Not pretty . . . .

You played 3 days of 100/200 and lost 8k. If you played 8 hours a day at 35 hands / hour, you played 840 hands total. You lost 40 big bets in 840 hands for an irrelevant win rate of -4.76 BB / 100...

Re: 30/60 yearly income

I 8 tabled 15/30 ring, 8 tabled 10/20 6max, and 8 tabled 200+15 SNG. 8 tabling SNG's is like 6 tabling ring games or 4 tabling 6max games. Going with this 8:6:4 ratio we can also say 12:8:6. This is...

Re: 20/40 4 handed - good move or spew? (part2)

Yes, it's possible BB was afraid of SB's check but not afraid of my bet but with his aggro profile, it's not so likely. I think it's more likely he read me for nothing, just trying to take the pot...

20/40 4 handed - good move or spew? (part2)

I've been acting on my reads a little more aggressively these days and Im trying to make sure I'm not going over the top so here is part 2:

30 hands or so with SB, he's done some donkish things...

20/40 4 handed - good move or spew?

UTG is a solid aggressive and thinking player. BB is loose but not completely horrible.

20/40 4 handed

UTG raises, I cold call on button with QJs, SB folds, BB calls.

flop: 4d6sTh

BB...

Re: simple pre flopquestion

I play a lot of 20/40 4 handed and I 3 bet this every time. I will also 3bet KJo / KTs against more liberal raisers. You guys are too tight, this is 4 handed.

Re: 20/40 fold top pair on river?

20/40 fold top pair on river?

villan is a making the other players in this game money but he's not that horrible. He's reasonable pre flop and AF of 1 post flop.

20/40 5 handed

I open K9o on the button, BB calls.

20/40 defending blind with a pair on A high flop

villan is a reasonable player whose opening standards from the button are probably along the lines of 22+/JT+/Q9+/K7+/Axo+ and a rank or 2 lower if suited.

5 handed 20/40

Button opens, I call...

Re: 20/40 4 handed valuebet?

I like this answer and I wish it were that easy. I feel like check / call, check / call and bet / fold the river is the correct line here but so far this line doesn't have one vote. What don't you...

Re: 20/40 4 handed valuebet?

I gave you his range of pre flop capping hands. How can you go on to say I have the best hand? If you have a good tactical reason to check raise on the flop or turn here, I'd be glad to hear it....

Re: 20/40 4 handed valuebet?

My equity against his range of pre flop capping hands is less than 50%. However, the pot is big and I still need to see showdown. I see no point in taking the lead out of position in this hand where...
