Re: Curtains: pick off a PVS?

[ QUOTE ]
Ty.

I love this PVS play though I usually have samo kind of a hand when I do it so maybe it doesn't qualify as a pure PVS play. Usually it's something like blinds 50-100, 3 limpers to...

Re: Curtains: pick off a PVS?

[ QUOTE ]
Say you limped like Curtains did. You would have then called the push, correct?

BTW, thank you for your old level 3 and 4 posts. When I read them, it was like someone turned the SNG...

PVS: Forum jargon named after poster “Phil Van Sexton”: a play in which a player attempts to steal the dead chips in a pot caused by limping or a raise and a few callers all...

Re: ($33) - Level 3, TT early position

You are in MP, not early position.

Anyway, I push. I think you are too short to raise and then have to deal with overcards on the flop.

Re: ($22) UGLY bubble situation, what do you do?

[ QUOTE ]
People need to go review what the stop and go is. It's not possible here.

What you're probably thinking is to call and push any flop. Anyone think this is a possible line?? You might...

raise more pf

or i like to fold pf sometimes

[/ QUOTE ]

Preflop, you need to limp. It's not even close, IMO. With 4 limpers and the BB, a raise is going to...

Re: $109s - AQ River Snap?

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
The reason you check the turn is to get him to bet 90-140 chips on the river... right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ya that and:

- I don't mind taking a free card with 10 winning outs.

this post screams of flopped set

Would a good player ever play a flopped set like this?

I doubt it, but then again, I've been gone for while, so things may have...

I hate Party Poker as much as I hate Nazis, slavery, and every girl on MTV's 'My Super Sweet 16'. I really hope that I can find a place to play that is as profitable as Party Poker is...

Re: 109 bubble play

You are giving huge pot odds to the big stacks in the blinds when you call here. One of them could easily push PF and you'd have to eat your KJ. If not, they call and are then first to act on the...

I pushed my chips in without saying "raise"

If you pushed in with 1 motion, this is a raise. You don't have to say it.

That being said, you are right that always...

Re: $109s - QQ Hand

I really don't like the call preflop. The raise to 45 could mean anything, so I'd make it 100 and see what happens. You can easily lay down QQ if someone comes over the top of your reraise. Maybe...

Took about 10 tries but finally won it. Doubling up with KK twice in a row certainly helped.
