Re: value bet riv?

I know i'm losing value, thats why i made the post.
Although, how often does a weaker hand call, I think I see the J and Q fLush here often, and the naked ace folds or I invite it to make a play. A...

Re: NL 5/10 with Top Set

So we limped in this multi way pot and no matter what we do we are losing our 100bb stack to a solid plater? We're not up against a donk.

What if the flop was 8,7,6. Are we still losing our...

Re: How did you get to where you currently are?

Dropped about 1000 playing 5/10 limit 1st month. Spent 100 on a few books. Turned 50 into into 100k in 2 years. Climbed the ranks in both sitngos and nl. Mostly just play 400 nl 3 tables, and...

Re: 10/20 stars deep

You want to raise and blow him off his flush b/c you both have deep stacks?

or are you thinking why would he value bet this river and offer you the opportunity to take the pot away from him...

Re: NL 5/10 with Top Set

I raise to 50 preflop.

Considering we limped, I bet flop and try never to go broke on an unraised pot. I think you could possibly get away from this on turn, definately by river. If it was the...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #2 Turn

With our call on turn, he thinks he is value betting AJ. I raise all in.

Re: Right Play?

He only has 700 left behind pf. I gobble up his min raise and 3 bet all in and shut out MP1.

Given read, there is nothing that you can fold to on flop

Re: A hand from 5/10 NL 6 handed

The flop clobbered you, raise all in. BB mostlikely has AQ or (possibly a set if he is a good player). Tight button has AA, KK.

Hope they fold, if you get a call you have outs against a set and...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #2 Flop II

AA, KK, JJ, and AK all reraise preflop.
QT has no desire to play a pot w similiar stack size out of position, against an UTG raise .

So we are ahead, how to extract max value from AJ, AQ, AT or...

Re: 10/20 NL: Flopped nut Str8 on a monotone flop!: Line Check!

If he is really that bad, I find a much better spot to put all my chips in against him.

It sounds like you pushed and won, but a very bad play reguardless of the read. Maybe in a live game I can...

Re: Basic theory on river betting question

I think it depends on the hand...If there was no flush draw on flop, then what else could he be calling you with when there is a str8 on the board. So no flush draw on flop it's a check fold.

Now...

Re: Ah As Kh 2s

where's the nl omaha game?

I think you definately should have raised much more preflop. I would probarly call here, only because of the variety of hands the villian could be pushing here. You...

Re: 8877 middle set hand

2346 double suited against one person that I know only raises w aaxx is not the worst of plays. I know he his potting it on flop no matter what hits so I'm getting three to one on my money.
I was...

Re: 8877 middle set hand

Illustration of a check raise w a pretty weak hand...but it was raised preflop so i thought i was in the lead w bottom 2. It would obviously have been a huge mistake for villian to fold middle set....

Re: 8877 middle set hand

In a limped pot you may be able to get away from it.
Since you raised preflop I would reraise. Your opponent is likely putting you on aaxx. The villian could have an open str8, flush draw, two...

Re: bankroll question

I've recently moved up to mostly 2-4 and some 3-6. I usually keep 3K in my account. And I cash out 3K once I get to 6k. I've yet to go below 1K in my account.

Re: good or bad push?

If you had AA or KK would you call here? Doesn't it look like I either slow played a set or caught my flush? or is the overbet an indication of weakness?

Re: 400NL - top set on monotone board

I would make a pot sized bet to protect the hand and to make it a mistake to draw to a flush. I'd bet 75.

Re: Big time fundamental errors (your action?)

Hand 1 is an easy fold. Although I think I would have check raised him and then folded to a reraise.

Hand 2 I'd bet about 400 to 450. I think this bet accomplishes the same as the over bet. I...
