Re: Can you beat this game?

If I'm reading your rules correctly, then all you have to do to beat the game is place your original bet.

There are 3 face cards in 27 different combinations. 8 times in 27, you'll get zero kings...

Re: fundamental mistake on Turn?

You're thinking about this way too hard. It's just bets. It doesn't matter what the actual dollar amount is. However, you must always know what the pot size is in terms of the current round's bet...

Re: Is 6/12 dead at the Borgata? Also played 20/40 for the first time

[ QUOTE ]
6 12 there blows because they have to make change so much and it is really slow.

[/ QUOTE ]

They don't use $2 chips? 6/12 at Canterbury plays very quickly like this.

Re: Rake

So it's more like, "That'll be a dollar for that 7-2 I just dealt you. Thank you, sir." If so, it's beyond horrible.

Re: Rake

the $1 per hand rake seems reasonable. for comparison, at foxwoods the rake on the 2/4 game is 10% up to $4 max.

Re: HU against a \"PT\'er\"

I think this explanation helps me the best. I was evaluating pot odds incorrectly by looking at the "turn" portion of a pot odds chart to justify the call with this small number of outs...

Re: Potowatomi collusion

As far as the rules go, how is the "bump it up" comment before the cards were dealt any different than a group showing up at a table with the intention of magoo-ing it up and 5-betting everything in...

Re: Most Bizzare Hand in the World?

[ QUOTE ]
I particularly like the min-raise with AA followed by a min-raise with KK preflop.

Re: $500,000 Guaranteed Tournament in Minnesota

That's pretty dumb. I mean, why stop at $500,000? Guarantee a $10,000,000,000 payout if 10,000,000 people show up.

Re: Canterbury from Downtown Minny

A cab is probably your best bet. It's only about 25-30 miles from the Metrodome. According to the bus schedule, it's a three hour trip if you decide to go with public transit.

Too bad they don't have .50/1.00 live.
