Re: KQs behind a raise 4-handed after doubling up

Hand 1 is an easy fold, in that position you don't want to be playing anything but an Ax+

I'm still thinking about Hand 2 myself.

Re: Bubble AK in SB

Folds? AK is strong, but I think you want to be the first one in with it.

Re: Bubble AQ

What site? No, you have to play differently. More postflop play, easier to get away from AK & other hands on the flop.

Re: Push TPGK vs a maniac?

Do you want him to give YOU a bad beat with his 94o? Play your game, blinds are low and you have nothing to worry about right now. No need to get yourself tangled up here.

Re: Bubble AQ

Yeah this site has an interesting SnG structure. I would also like to discuss it sometime, maybe in another thread.

It's 1500 starting chips and...

Re: Need your help

No it doesn't, you still won't win sitting and waiting for premium hands. Think of them really as a "premium"... a bonus. Drawing hands, suited hands, A7+, K7+ are all good to play in this type of a...

Bubble AQ

Just wanted to confirm my play. Sorry I don't have a hand history but here's how it went:

blinds 400/800, all stacks after posting blind

hero (SB) 1200 (AQo)
BB 1200
utg 5000...

Re: Need your help

So this is like a short handed ultra turbo. You can't follow Aleo's guide to the tee with only 5 people to start with. And with blinds going up every 5-8 hands you will get blinded down very very...

Re: AK play

I can't imagine anything higher then AQ and less then AT (possibly KdQd) unless he called your 4xBB pf raise with 35. I also would not discount JJ-QQ. With KK he would not limp UTG+2.
If he caught a...

Re: Correct play, yes?

Push back at him and see him flip over QT with 1 diamond or maybe even JJ. If it's 2 pair or trips, restart tourney.

Re: How do you play draws in the early going?

I think it's very very close, he's giving you 2.6:1 to improve with 15 outs, which is just borderline (considering he does not have a A or K high flush). Then again you don't want to get involved...

Re: Is this QQ push good?

Should I have instead raised to 800 and then folded if the two respond with all-ins?

That's just stupid. Putting half your stack in and then folding.

Re: Facing 2 all ins.

This is a tough one. Small stack is not desperate to double up with the BB at 40 and the big stack either has a monster and trying to get more money in the pot or he's trying to isolate with a...

Re: KK hand. Looking for possible lines

I didn't add up the bets unfortunately, but if "bet the pot" is 40% of your remaining stack or more, than yeah push.

Re: Good fold, or weak tight?

Any reason not to bet the rainbow flop with an overpair? I think you were up against AJ here and he was taking this pot right there with you checking before.

Re: KK hand. Looking for possible lines
