Re: Palace Station Las Vegas Offering Sick Bonus!

It opened last thursday (11/03). Don't know about multiple shots at the bonus, though. Room was pretty crowded, though I think the other posters are being a little tough on it -- Palace Station...

Re: 7-card stud Hi/Lo on the East coast

Definitely agree on the 3/6 game. Most of the folks who play the 10/20 mixed game are really there for the Omaha, so that side is a little tougher (but certainly beatable); the Stud side can be...

Re: is pot-limit omaha hi spread in vegas/california/AC ?

That must have been during the Borgata Open in late September or early October when a bunch of friends begged for it during a weekday lull in the action. Now, you find only limit O8B there (4/8?)...

Re: The Official \"I will be in Vegas on November 4th thread\"

I'll be there from 10/27 until 11/07. Playing mostly at the Mirage, hopefully a little at the Orleans. I've never played Omaha Hi and I know they have it there (Orleans.) I also want to play in the...

Re: AC this weekend

I'm planning on being at the Taj at some point this Saturday, playing either 5/10 O8B, 3/6 2-way or 3/6 hold-'em. I've never played at the Trop, but I might stop by there, too. I'm thinking maybe a...

Re: Viva Las Vegas

Omaha is spread 5/10 Hi-Lo at the Mirage or 4/8 Hi-Lo at the Orleans. I'm not sure what level (4/8, I would think), but I've heard the Orleans spreads Omaha Hi on a regular basis. I've only played...

Re: AC @ Taj this weekend

I'll be there Saturday, probably starting around 12:30. I'll be playing 5/10 O8B (most likely), 5/10 Stud or the 3/6 mixed game (1/2 Stud 8B, 1/2 O8B). And if I'm running good, I might even attempt...

Re: \"Seat open\" pet peeve

So, I'm not the only one that has noticed that! Drives me nuts, too. The only time such I think such harping is at all justified is when the game just started, isn't full and the list of names...

Re: AC $5-10 Stud ?

Borgata does spread 5/10 pretty regularly (maybe not everyday). Stud's not my main game, but I think the play varies depending on when you play (during the week it's a bit of rock garden, weekend...

Re: Best Stud or Stud8 Games in AC?

10/20 two-way is a good game. Mostly regulars, but these guys (and gals) tend to favor the O8B, so if you're dealt some good cards during the Stud 8B rounds, you can earn pretty good money. You...

Re: O/b games in Las vegas

Jay,

When you say "worst," do you mean a bunch of regular tightwad nits or worst players that make for easy pickings?

Stud 8/B board lock

I'm relatively new to Stud 8/B and believe I've missed bets and raises when I have the best low hand. I obviously have board lock for low when I have, for instance, 5-4-2-6 and my opponent has...

Re: Borgata/AC this week -- anyone else gonna be there?

I know everyone likes to crap on the Taj, but for an easily beatable game, its 5/10 O8B is the ticket. Also, having sat in the 10/20 mixed game (1/2 O8B, 1/2 Stud 8B) yesterday, I believe it is...

Re: Atlantic City Poker Rooms

The 5/10 game is usually good since the majority of the players don't try to scoop pots (only HOPE to do so) and are passive -- many check/call their nut low draws, won't raise their made nut lows...

Re: Atlantic City Poker Rooms

Erby,

Does the Trop still spread Omaha 8/B games? I'm sort of a Taj weekend regular, but was thinking about a change of scenery for next time

Re: AC This Weekend 8/20-8/21

I'm an Omaholic, so I'm forced to go to the Taj. I'll be there one of the two days. The evil wankers who run Borgata's poker room claim there's not enough demand for Omaha for them to spread it but...

Re: Two-way game at the Taj in AC

Yes, the 3/6 and 10/20 are both 8/B. The 3/6 game has no ante in Stud (just a $1 bring-in) while the 10/20 Stud has a $1 ante and a $3 bring-in.

Re: Two-way game at the Taj in AC

The biggest problem with the 10/20 game is that often there are several players at the table who really only want to play 10/20 O8B and sit out many hands when it's time to play Stud. Makes for a...

Re: Yet another \"first time live\" report: The Taj in AC

Marc,

If you want to win back your losses and know how to play Omaha 8/B, next time you're at the Taj, take a seat at either of the Omaha games going (2/4 or 5/10) and hope there's a bored,...

Re: Hand from Cappalletti\'s book

I think the idea Cappelletti's trying to highlight here is using info that your opponents give you against them. Earlier in that section, the maniac opponent gave Cappelletti some "hints," giving...

Re: First live O8 session

The Taj in AC has 2/4 and 5/10 O8B, along with 3/6 and 10/20 mixed games (1/2 Stud 8B, 1/2 O8B). Both games tend to turn over rather slowly (the first 10 at the table often don't leave for several...

Re: Omaha H/L at the Taj

I take the Gambler's Express to AC. If I catch the 10 AM (give or take 5 minutes) train, I usually have no problem joining a game. If, however, I catch the 12:15, it's 50/50 sitting down within...

Re: Omaha H/L at the Taj

Hey MT,

When were you playing the 5/10? I was there from 5PM - 8PM or so, and it was a big aquarium! I would raise holding A2XX after four limpers, receive a few odd looks and still there were...

Re: Playing Omaha 8 live in LV

AnyAce,

Just returned from playing a whole lot of 5-10 O8B at the Mirage. From my perspective, the game floats between very fishy and mildly tight, depending on how many regulars are at the table...

Re: wsop 05

Hey Ace,

The $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low event had 699 competitors (I was one of them). It was the biggest Omaha Hi-Low event ever. First prize was $270,100. I heard from one of the dealers that the...
