QQ PF action, UB $10

Previous hand I made a steal attempt and busted a small stack from SB with a A7. So villan knows I will try to make steals.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (5 handed)...

Where do you err?

The question is simple. If you find that you've made a mistake, do you more often see yourself erring on the side of bravery or caution?

Re: Try to get me to stay in school....

Nice avatar. I'm guessing we started on fairly similar paths, but I wasn't making piles of money while I was in school. Engineering was the worst mental beating I've ever taken, and if I had to do...

Re: Can i call here?

It's a little read dependant, but I'd call. I think he's desperate, he needs to make a move pretty soon, and I think he'd try it with plenty of hands you're ahead of. Thinking of it from his angle,...

Re: ITM Push w/Kx?

I like it. Well, I don't like the spot so much, but I agree with the play, and unfortunately we can't always make our plays out of ideal spots. I think you've got to make a move this hand or next...

Re: Is this too weak at level 3?

Let it go. I like AQ in that position, but not against a large UTG raise. Lots of poker left to play, no reason to get involved in this hand.

Re: Call w/A-4 on bubble w/short stack

I wouldn't be happy about it, but I'd call. I agree with you that the stack/blinds have you in a tough spot. If you let it go, you're looking at stealing with any two against the two bigger stacks....

Re: Trouble with KQ

Let it go. No need to take a stand here. You've still got plenty of chips.

Re: kinda interesting 109

I fold and cry. It's hard, because with 5 left, you're going to have to do something soon, and TT is awful good. I still can't bring myself to do it against a big stack raise, then by an all in by...

Re: $55s - Getting Aggro With 88 and J9

This may simply be too weak, but here's what I think;

First hand, I fold to the raise pf, and fold on the flop. Against only one bet, or if checked to, I'd like the raise. Being the third to...

Re: AKs in SB (10/15) faces big raise

Maybe I'm a complete fool here, but I do advocate the call. If I was first to act, I'd probably make it something between 80-100 to go, and would even call a minraise. If you hit, you're almost...

Cheers to you. It was 99 and flush draw, in that order. Dude caught the flush in the end. Nice reads.

Re: pp 100+9: did this have to happen?

The card you least wanted to see came on the flop (A). Then the card you least wanted to see came on the turn (diamond). You didn't push, so you've still got some chips left. Not many, but still...

I lose more money with two pair...

Quite early, so no reads. I made a small flop bet with the intent of inducing action. Is this a huge mistake? Only do this if I want to go all the way no matter what? FWIW I would've called the...

Re: Your move with 88 here?

I went with push because this looks like a reasonable steal from his seat. Your read on him matters a LOT here. Has he been stealing often? (easy push) Has he never made a steal attempt and...

Re: Weak fold? PP 10 + 1

Sucks to fold this, but it would suck way more to go out in 5th with it. You've still got a good stack relative to the rest, and now you know to avoid messing with the big stack.

Slight...

Re: My 1st HH post

2 callers on the flop bet scares me crazy. I think you have to believe that at least one of them is right, and be happy that this happened early, and your stack is huge relative to the blind size. ...

Re: Should I accept this all-in?

I'll give another bump to the call. I think villian will have just a set or something worse far more often than he will have the full house.

Re: Push Level 2 with AKs PF?

I like the re-raise, although I'd probably just do min re-raise. If he calls, and flop misses you, continuation bet is fine, but you should fold to a raise if he comes back at you. If he comes over...

Re: Big Gray Area For Me - Correct Raise?

I would perhaps consider this on the button, and would do it from the SB, but would fold it otherwise. Almost the whole table is left to go, and you're probably in trouble against anyone who calls. ...

Re: Two AKo hands folded preflop. Way too weak tight? lvl1 100+9

/images/graemlins/blush.gif That's embarassing. I'll learn to read one of these days. Thx for correction.

Re: Two AKo hands folded preflop. Way too weak tight? lvl1 100+9

I must first admit that I've never played a $109, so take that into consideration.

I will always call in the situation given in the first hand. I love to play AK for a lot of money pf. One...
