Re: a loopy logy little hand

Forgot to add this to my flop analysis: if you bet you
also run the risk of somebody folding a hand without an
ace in it, which would be a terrible thing for you.

Re: a loopy logy little hand

Let me take a stab at your thoughts:

Flop: This is not really a scary board for any hands, and
although no1 is going to fold a pocket pair, and possibly
not any two cards, you decided to play...

Re: Black\'s 2 donkey plays

The KJ hand was awful. Matusow opened for 260,000, Lazar
called, and Black called behind him on the button. I know
fairly little about Barch, but as long as he can read hands
reasonably well, it...

I personally could care less if you believe me or not but I'm sick of these rumors going around the internet that are not even true.

Re: TT 15-30

17-1 that CO is betting a busted draw with no Q or J and
the other guy is calling with 99 or worse sounds tempting
but I still fold here unless I pick up weakness in the body
language of either...

Re: AK good or bad?

[ QUOTE ]
BTF the raise to $40 seems about right but I guess some would argue for a slightly bigger raise maybe to $60.

Before the flop betting the pot is $85 or so after rake. With a big hand...

Re: Theres still tons of fishies on mid limit games

[ QUOTE ]
I just had to post this cause it's so funny. I was playing 15/30 today and was getting ripped, I mean literally, I think I had KKs like 4 times and 3 times it lost to a fish

a few guys I think play good are advocating a flop lead in this hand and I disagree - please show me the error of my ways.

I would check this flop because if you are drawing, you want...

I don't understand. If there's anything less than 100% chance he lays down a pocket pair, why wouldn't you raise?

Because you will lose sometimes. For an extreme...

Re: J8s 20-40 bb

I really think it comes down to a couple things. How often she will three bet her good hands on the turn, and if you have a shot at getting her to lay down something like 1010 QQ. I think...

Re: AA slaughtered

I was going to reply, but you mentioned
pretty much everything I would have. I
play the flop and turn exactly as you
described. I probably check call the
river up to about the size of the pot.

Re: quick one

I just thought I would throw in the comment here that, with
T8, there really are not any "worse tens" to bet the river
if you check behind, so there is no value in that (there is
value in checking...

Hey Jihad, I see you live in Sacramento. Do you play live
there a lot? If so, where? I only ask because I play
mostly in Sacramento, and was wondering if I knew you /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

On a paired, drawy board, assuming that he will bet his unimproved AK on the river instead of showing down is pretty poor logic IMO.

Re: FPS or well played?

There seem to be a couple of things on which people so far
have agreed, but I would like to clear some things up.

First, this player is not betting the turn with overcards,
so checkraising him...

FPS or well played?

This is a hand I played last night in a very good, fairly
loose passive 20-40 game at Bay 101. To me, the hand stood
out as a little odd, and I would like some feedback on
whether you thought it...
