Re: Remind me quickly

The thing you should remember is to raise to get more money in the pot with the best hand.

Raise the flop.

Re: 30-60 party --- folded the winning hand

You are getting 15:1 on the flop call. I think you have to take one off due to your implied odds and the small chance that nobody is betting on the turn.

Re: Ace on the river

Bet.

If you check he will most often bet when you are behind and normally check hands you beat. I do not think you normally can induce a bluff.

Re: Mirage 20-40: What Do You Make of This Card Checking Tell?

He called with Axs and is suddenly not sure of his kicker.

I would check call the river. He will most often bet his ace and you save a bet if he has two pair.

Re: +EV Situations in life?

How is it that everyone answering this this thread are assuming that game theory only relies to gambling.

Game theory is very applicable to some problems in economics. Actually I think somebody...

Re: I\'d really like to just fold this somewhere, but ....

I do not understand these answers. isnt there a very real possibility that a 17/11 threbetting preflop only has AA-JJ in his range out of the BB.

And he continue putting pressure on on the flop. I...

Re: Weak Tight you say Mikel?

Why bet. If she is the lady named Robin I played at the Mirage 20-40 last year I certainly would not call with over fifty percent of the hands she have beat

He was on national TV in Denmark last night explaining some basic stuff about poker and a little about himself.

He is going to play the Danish championship this weekend.

Re: Typical buy in for B&M 15/30 game?

The typical buy-in will be 25-50 Big bets. ($750-$1500)

But your risk of ruin is very big. As a rule of thumb you need 300 big bets in your bankroll as a winning player to minimize risk of ruin....

Re: My only problem playing limit poker

If worse players are playing limit why do you have a problem with that. Seems to me to be the best argument for playing limit.

Are you making the very common mistake of thinking yuor results will...

Re: Crazy play...QQ Party 20-40

Why has the SB disappeared on the flop despite capping preflop. Is there something wrong with the converter ?

I would fold.

What does "duh" mean.

Is the raise a no-brainer, or is it terrible (Sorry, not all of the readers here have english as their native language).

I am not used to playing against totally crazy...

Re: 2 Hands = No Clue

I agree that the preflop call in hand 2 is very easy and I do not think you have to play expertly after the flop to make the call profitable.

Re: Another value bet in the history of value bets

Unless you are sure he will call with A-high type hands I think it would be better to try to induce a bluff from a missed draw.

Re: Any thoughts on the \'new\' party 15/30?

This makes perfect sense to me, a lot of the good post flop players have disappered.

Re: Any thoughts on the \'new\' party 15/30?

Are you trying to keep the good games a secret /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Maybe the games just are easier to me because I have taken to get up early and play at american peak times.

Re: Any thoughts on the \'new\' party 15/30?

It seems to me a lot of more pots are contested 3-5 handed and there is a lot more limping in the game.

This must be because a lot of the best players have disappeared.

Re: 24poker.com?

Most tables are nl Hold'em 1-2 to 5-10. Only up to 5-10 fixed limit normally.

Rake is capped at 2.5 dollar in most games, so that is a little cheaper than most places.

There are players...

Re: How greedy can you get?

Now I have to protest.

It is not like that very often when I play (Mostly around mid day US time). I am happy when we are four to the flop.

Re: The most amazing hand at the 15k Bellagio tournament (so far)

Even if he had a crazy hand like 56 he will be saved by K9, AA and A9.

Sorry I now see, that you think he mucked after the jack fell.

Re: Skirted AKo

Does the subject line mean that you were not planning to checkraise ?

I do not think there is a big risk of a full.

And I am primitive enough to raise the turn.
