Re: Waiting \'till the turn

no no no no no NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!

Bet this flop everytime it is checked to you if you are the preflop raiser. If you aren't willing to bet this flop then what flops will you bet?

Re: TPTK vs Tag 3 bet on flop.

A passive opponent is 3betting you, Fold. Occasionally he may showdown something stupid but those occasions will be rare.

Re: Folding the flop for one bet is cool

That's a really weak fold unless the guy betting into you is the biggest rock you've ever seen. the pot is big, you have odds to call, and you have no reason to think you're outs aren't clean. Don't...

Re: 78s flops OESD - flop is capped

Call the flop, you have an equity edge there. Call the turn too unless it's something crazy like 3bet back to you on a paired board.

Re: Blind battle AQo

That's a fine line vs a passive opponent, the more aggressive they are the more I'm likely to show down Ace high. if you really want to know where you stand bet/fold the turn and check the river if...

Re: My 1200th post (with a hand)

[ QUOTE ]
What I'm getting at is that this is a situation where adding up the combos we're beating and comparing that to the number of combos we're losing to doesn't tell the whole story.

Re: My 1200th post (with a hand)

Preflop: If he's a tag he's unlikely to be 3betting you with trash since you raised UTG. I'd place his hand range on TT JJ QQ KK AA AKo AKs, AQs. If you weren't under the gun I would include maybe...

Re: Canterbury 8/16, Preflop question

[ QUOTE ]
Ego, this is a commonly known tactic. It is also used as a contributing argument for a raise along with a the fact that a hand such as a small to mid pair already has good value in a lot...

Re: Canterbury 8/16, Preflop question

[ QUOTE ]
Well, I was assuming that the preflop raise would increase the possibility that the flop would get checked through, but you should count the pot, before you say that. If 8 see the flop,...

Re: My first observations and questions about my move to 3/6

[ QUOTE ]
Fish A limps in MP2 and you got KTo on the button, don't limp raise the bastard. 90% of the time he has a worse hand and you got position. A4s I raise same situation. JTs I raise. Almost...

Re: Canterbury 8/16, Preflop question

[ QUOTE ]
For the most part, CP games play so passively that I think the four swings at a set is the overriding factor on this hand, assuming all of your opponents can remember who raised preflop.

Re: Can I find a fold with AA

Here's my evaluation:

Flop:Your raise is a fine play here but I'm not sure I would cap, a better play might be to call the 3bet and raise a safe turn card. The pot is too big to protect your hand...

Re: Canterbury 8/16, Preflop question

Limp everytime, you don't have a large enough equity edge to justify raising with 5 limpers preflop. When you're up against that many opponents play 99 for set value.

Re: What your leak???- first 10K check up 2/4

What's you bb per hand from the blinds? Blind play is a very common leak for 2/4 players.

Your aggression numbers are high, I can't say for sure but I would guess that you are bluffing too...

Re: Raising preflop in middle position

While there are multiple factors in determining your starting hand range I'll mention one. Table conditions should be foremost in your considerations for what hands to play. If your table is tight...

Re: TPTK facing cap on flop

For a thinking player Kqo Kqs Kjo Kjs(possible but unlikely), 33, 22(again possible but unlikely). Maybe someone slowplaying Aces, but that doesn't seem likely given his stats. Basically the only...

TPTK facing cap on flop

I'm not really sure what to do here so I'll let you guys take a stab at it.

Re: TPTK facing a turn C/R?

Your preflop and flop play are fine. On the turn call, on the river if he bets call, if he checks bet assuming you are unimproved. There's no reason to create a huge pot here, villain has shown...

Re: Floping Nut Flush Draw in SB - multiway pot

I would need more informtation on the hand to give a correct analysis, but you would generally want to lead out here. You're usually only going for a C/R in this position if there's a highly...

"yeah I was wondering where that came from. 9% is actually kinda low. "

Your preflop raise stat isn't going accuratly converge until you have several hundred hands on someone. The point I was...

Re: I have trouble OOP against LAGs

I'm not sure how many hands you have on villian but his pfr stats aren't completely out of line, 9% is about what you should raise with preflop. But, for the sake of argument we'll take the line...

Re: Is this worth a call?

You need to make a determination right there and decide if your hands good. This is a raise or fold situation since you're unlikely to hit your boat and it seems likely at least 1 of them is on a...

Re: Flopped a straight

Actually he is 100% correct. It doesn't seem plausible that a bet here is a +EV move. There just aren't a lot of hands villian is calling or check-raising with that our hero has beat. A bet here...
