no, not worse, just less conservative, if he is indeed a better player, you don't want to risk all your chips on a slight advantage, but if you have another game, you could take these risks.

i disagree. i think you have to bet the turn here, because if the turn goes check check, and then he bets on the river, you don't really know where you are. A good player would try to steal on this...
