Re: Should my chips be in here?

Jeanie - guess I'll take the dissenting viewpoint here. My understanding of the 180 player $20 + $2's is that the fields are weaker than the standard Stars multi. With that in mind I'm betting the...

Results

I found this hand to be pretty interesting and am hoping some more will weigh in. I see there were some differing points of view before I posted the results. I still believe the pre flop all in was...

Poker Stars Double Shootout Hand - Proper Isolation?

We've played less than 10 hands and UTG + 1 has been in every one of them so far. This is the first pot I've entered. Do you like the all-in isolation play here? If not, how would you play it...

Re: 88 in EP. (Stars $20 Deepstack) Oh, and i\'m a calling station.

Preflop - I like to mix up my play with small/mid pairs so raising and calling both work for me.

Flop - Again I like to mix it up with one of:
a ck and call
a continuation bet
a ck raise

So...

Re: $5K Trump Classic

Hey Temp - Ugh! The dangers of limping the aces. If you limp them you have to try not to fall in love with them. I have to give him credit for at least 2 pair here. He reraised your reraise and you...

Re: A.C. Showboat HOB Daily Tournaments

Sam - no antes early or no antes ever? Don't think I've ever seen a live tourney without antes.

Re: Anyone here ever played with Michael Grazc live (or online)?

I played with Mike at Borgata in the fall. He was at my table for a good 5-6 hours. Great kid and a very good player. He has plenty of gears and a great feel for the pace of the table. Thinking of...

Re: Pros and Cons of various sites

In addition to what has been mentioned, different structures may suit different playing styles.

Party tables are 10 handed - Stars 9 handed.
Party has no antes - Stars has antes.
The method of...

Re: Any s n g\'s for cash in AC?

Any guesses on how long these take to complete? I'd think a couple of hours. Has anybody tried these at Borgata?

Re: Any s n g\'s for cash in AC?

Borgata runs SNG's on all but Fri & Sat. They have $60 + $15 w/2000 chips and $120 + $20 w/2500 chips. 15 minute levels. They pay 2 spots, heavily weighted towards 1st. Best you'll find in AC, good...

Live Main Event Super Satellites

In 2004 I took 4 swings at the Borgata WPT Main Event via multi table supersatellite. They were running the $200 rebuys that year. In each of the 4 events I was within a table or two of getting my...

Re: Looks like Borgata has gone back to rebuys

I noticed the same thing when I was looking at their site yesterday. I think the fields will be larger for the rebuys than they were for the freezeouts. Betgo have you played any of the STT's at...

Re: ($55) Bubble Hand A10s

Would one of the math guys mind doing an analysis of this scenario. Would be much appreciated.

By the way is there anybody that does not push this and if so why not?

($55) Bubble Hand A10s

Big Blind is t300 (4 handed)
My image is solid - big stack is a bit on the loose side as the raiser, no real info regarding his willingness to call a push.

What's your line w A...

Re: Anybody else in the Stars 10+1 deep stack?

Guys - In all seriousness, other than for reasons of practicing big stack tactics how can you justify this kind of a time committment to a $10 tournament? Saturday night's $109 took 10+ hours with...

Loxii the very best advice anybody could give to you right now would be to spend the next couple of weeks thoroughly reading this forum and its archives. Read them until you can't stand it any more....

Re: JJ facing utg push

I agree with Val, my chips are in the middle too.

You actually give another very important reason other than the actual hand which further supports this. The big stack will always be in the blind...
