Re: Too weak a play?

Pre-flop - I might give that a raise

Flop - Standard bet-out, I think I 3-bet this. With no Preflop raises, UTG+1 will likely raise any Ace. I call if he caps.

Turn - Two pair for you. I'm...

Re: Tossman Plays Weak tight

If you want to count the backdoor draws, maybe you give yourself 6 outs. That's a little worse than 7:1 from the deck, and about 9.5:1 from the pot, so I reckon the call was not horrible. I...

Re: Tossman Plays Weak tight

Pre-flop - Not sure. This is one of those I mix up sometimes. ATo from the middle. Sometimes I limp, sometimes I'll raise, depends on the table. Anyways, not wrong in my opinion.

Flop - Action,...

Re: Tossman Plays Weak tight

Some would question your blind defense with QTs, but I think it's a good call.

Flop - I'm folding. 2nd pair/marginal kicker when the Preflop raiser bets and there's an overcard to my pair on the...

Re: First hands posting - any help would be appreciated

Hand 1:

Preflop - Easy raise

Flop - Easy bet

Turn - Easy bet

River - Easy bet, easy call. The runner, runner daimonds could have hurt, and there's the straight out there too. Play was...

Re: How to play KK?

Preflop - easy raise

Flop - Easy bet, Easy 3-bet (would you raise in UTG+2's position if you had played A9?) If he caps, I'm worried about the set or two pair.

Turn - If he called my 3-bet and...

Re: bottom two question

I bet out. I'm folding to a raise. If I'm called, I'm betting out again on the river and again folding to the raise.

Re: Pls comment largely on Turn play

Preflop - hehe, easy raise

Flop - easy bet

Turn - Yuck. Some of this depends on your read. Some players will bet if they pick up the draw. Maybe he spiked two pair, or the flush . . . I...

Re: Messing around with KQo in 1/2

I disagree with the pre-flop fold. Four folds, then MP3 raises (which could be a steal attempt, not often I grant you, but could be). A cold caller and the small blind calls, I'm calling one more...

Re: Messing around with KQo in 1/2

Pre flop - easy call

Flop - with rags like that on the flop, you hold two overcards, and were in the Big, I think a stab at the pot here is not horrible. Not sure it's great play, and I wouldn't...

Re: Isolation of an aggresive, but good player.

UTG+1 and facing a raise from UTG I'm folding the 8's. UTG raise should be something very good (TT-AA, AK, maybe AQ) and other than AK and AQ you're huge underdog to all of those, and about even for...

Re: How would you have played this hand?

I like the raise on the turn. Even the cap isnt' too bad as any pocket pair will likely 3-bet I think. However when he bets out on the river I'm calling down (if I didn't start after the 3-bet on...

Re: just spewing K10s?

No, KTs is most definitely not too weak to defend the BB for one raise.

With your read, I go into check/call mode after the 3 bet on the flop. I would assume that I'm outkicked, but you need to...

Re: Correct to bet same suited flop with open ended straight draw?

Worse thing that can happen with your good draws is they hit and you win a very small pot. I like the bet. Sure the spades are not what you want to see, and you need to watch for the raises and act...

Re: Pocket 9s hand

Raise pre flop - call a 3 bet

If BB bets out I might call one more SB in a large pot hoping to pick up the spade draw or spike a 9

good fold on the turn

Re: Raise preflop and fold to the first bet - 2 hands

Hand 1: You simply have to bet that flop.

Hand 2: good fold. You are behind often enough to make this -EV in my opinion. A bet saved is a bet earned.

Re: Why we don\'t (or shouldn\'t) slow play vs. the fish

Agree. Your title says it all. Fish don't understand the concept, therefore the power of slowplay is gone. If you have good cards, bet them, and they will pay you off.

Re: KQ play

I don't think I raise the turn, just on the possibility he was slow playing an A or he had KJ, but I'm definitely calling down.

Re: AKs, tons of action, advice?

I think you played it fine. If you don't cap that flop you're crazy. That's exactly what you wanted to see. I do get a bit concerned when he fires again on the turn, but I probably raise him again...
