Re: Bay 101 and GC (or other Bay Area cardrooms) low limit question

[ QUOTE ]
I can't comment on the low limits, but in general, I hope you get there early, as you will probably have a very difficult time getting a seat in a low limit game at either of these clubs...

Bay 101 vs California Grand?

Did a search, hardly found anything on CA Grand. I've played at Bay 101 (6/12, unless there's big wait). CA Grand is a little closer to me, but I haven't been there. Anyone know any notable...

Re: AJo ......help?!?

[ QUOTE ]
call the flop c/r
raise the turn

there are a lot of bad turn cards, and the 3bet really doesn't protect your hand, if you call the flop, and raise the turn you will be offering...

Re: Hand from a 6-max table -- handreading.

[ QUOTE ]
Well there are 6 combos of KK and just 1 KQ /images/graemlins/club.gif, so it is 6:1 against him having KQ /images/graemlins/club.gif. In reality he could have various different underpairs...

Seems like QQ or KK to me.

I don't know why he checked the turn with QQ, if that were to check through it would have been terrible. And the river would have...

Re: Hand from a 6-max table -- handreading.

Seems like QQ or KK to me. High clubs or an ace with a high kicker, I might expect Rob to 3-bet on the flop with the other players in there.

Re: another river bet/fold (WA/WB)

[ QUOTE ]
I check-call the river, but I think it's close between c/c and c/f. I think checking is better either way since some better hands might get scared, let us off the hook, and give us a free...

Re: Do I have to bet this turn?

What a poor spot. I think that I would bet/call here, trying to get a free showdown UI (with the bet part of this action).

Re: turn play

I'd play it the same, and feel bad about calling it down after being 3-bet. But the pot odds are good enough on the turn to either improve or counterfeit villain on the river.

The river is...

Re: KJ Vs Complete newbie

I think a c/r makes sense against a default player, but do you think that villain is betting a hand we want to raise based on OP's read?

I'd be more inclined to bet/call the turn given that read.

Re: common situation (3 handed)

I'd call the turn raise, but I don't think it's too bad to fold. Rather than check/call, does anyone like a bet/fold line on the river, or is it too easy for the BB to raise a hand worse than ours?

Re: Hand from sweat session

That's an ugly turn card, and I'd probably check/fold. Pot is small, and at this point you're behind to way more than you're ahead of right now.

Re: TT - check behind on river? Is it close?

I'd bet this river. It's really hard for me to put someone on an ace here (and if they are on an ace, you've got a pretty good read for the future). BB could have easily been betting a piece of the...

Re: Failed check/raise on turn I get him om river.

[ QUOTE ]
Check-raise the flop. You are ahead of a lot more hands that he is 3-betting with PF than behind. Your hand is vulnerable to be outdrawn so charge don't give free cards.

i fire like this with AK, 1.8 aggro seems like they'd raise bets with a decent hand. And after all, if you lose the hand, villain made a FTOP error, and if you checked as you're OOP,...

Re: AKo value bet

This is a tough spot for a bet, IMO, since I think you've got a pretty small chance to fold a better preflop-3bet hand (maybe another AK, though), and with that WTSD%, he's apparently not calling...

Re: I hit the straight but running flush also made it...

Maybe I'm too weak on this river, but I don't know about the raise. Given the action in the hand so far, what do we think that we beat that he's going to call, compared to the likelihood of...

I like the line so far, and would agree with a cap on the flop here.

Re: Bet, bet, ...

I'd check behind here. I don't think given the texture of the board that you'll be able to fold a better hand with a bet; if he hasn't folded by now, that river won't do it, and it's hard to imagine...

Re: River bluff CR on doublepaired board

I would expect that if he's limping, he's also going to look you up with ace high or king high. I've tried something like this if I've got a read that villain can find the fold button, and I've...

I don't mind checking behind here, even having an equity edge. What part of UTG's range are you ahead of here, and how likely is he to check/raise and blow out the field, reducing your equity? If I...
