Re: Nice win, now I have tax questions

In short, I believe you are being reckless by giving people this advice in no uncertain terms, as if it were a well-settled issue. The fact is, the issue has not been decided by any...

Many checks deposited/cashed in the US pass through the Federal Reserve banks. They'll know.

Re: $25 if you guess right

I hear they get angry when you refer to them as "cows", even "cash cows".

Re: 15/30 depedant

The reason I bring up that they're shorthanded players is that ... well ... you know what, you obviously don't need the help. Keep doing what you're doing.

The Amazon Top Sales List is not what you think, its a ranking system, which means SSHE is selling equally with the top 100 percentile books. No doubt its impressive, but there are many...

Re: 15/30 depedant

Something to think about: Schneids and Nate are (primarily) short-handed players, and they think you're spraying chips on the flop.

Re: Firing the second barrel - a discussion

My typical playstyle would be to:

Bet hands 1 and 2. Plenty of non-pair hands he could have from the flop that he'd drop, and you've got tons of outs.

Check hand 3. You've got the only two...

Re: AA Passivity

Okay, I reread the post and the action's different than I thought. In particular, there's no place you can 3-bet like I recommended, so let's forget that.

I think I'd consider calling on the flop...

Re: A new play for me.

The fish, bad as they are, are actually quite keen observers at the Party 10/20 games. Changeups are good.

Re: astroglide/ question for you

I don't know astroglide very well, but I'd be surprised if he continued humoring you after you all but covered your ears and started shouting "LALALA I DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE YOU'RE ALL BAD POKER...

Re: Will I ever be able to change my name?

I'd rather read it once at the top of the forum, perhaps with referral URLs edited out, than have to read it and a bunch of copycat spawns in every thread.

I'm not saying sticky every single one....

Re: A new play for me.

First time ever?

I find I do enough check/call baiting so that opponents become suspicious of me. I normally take this down on the turn with a bet.

Re: AA Passivity

I'm pretty sure I'd 3-bet the flop and try to check the turn behind. There aren't a lot of cards that will hurt you if you let the turn go by free.

If you continue to get action after basically...

Keep doing what you're doing and analyzing afterwards. It'll come more easily each time.

Re: An Overlooked Stat?

I'm not surprised in the least. Your other stats from that Vehn thread look very similar to mine too... I guess we have similar playstyles.

Re: Will I ever be able to change my name?

I hope the mods don't hold it against me, but here's some constructive criticism of the current situation.

I think this forum's moderation policy could use a slight overhaul. The whole "invisible...

Re: For some, Ed\'s SSHE book is the worst thing that could have happen

Some of us wish the secrets had stayed secret! That said, people misusing them to their detriment works for me as well.

An Overlooked Stat?

I've been digging around PokerTracker, and I thought it'd be interesting if we compared our "When Folds Hand" statistics.

Here are mine from the Party 10/20:

66.51% Preflop
8.27% Flop
3.89%...

By the way, do some searching. This is the first question every newcomer here asks, so there's plenty of material out there already.

Re: ugh...I\'m so lost

I think through 15k hands of 10/20 despite a massively high winrate, 88 was my biggest loser at something like a whopping -3BB/hand. The point of all this? It's very very hard to draw conclusions for...

Re: 77 from the SB

You have to know your opponent, and his image of you. Without being there and knowing what exactly constitutes a "huge LAG", nobody here can really tell you what the best play was.

That said, it...
