If 3rd and 4th have the same amount of chips and go out on the same hand then they split 3rd place prize. It doesn't matter what their hands were. I've only seen it happen once.

At least with Tony G you know it is just an act. I thought the WPT Paris was one of the best ones I'd ever seen, up until the blinds were risen to like 15% of the chips in play anyway.
