Re: OT: Vote for durron

Durron,

A lot has happened in the last few hours I guess, you're up by 48 as of this post, with Citanul and Mat comfortably ahead too.

Re: TV poker commentating is AWFUL.

I have to agree with the Gary Thorne bashers here, listen to Bob Cole and you'll hear a world of difference, and if I hear Thorne refer to ANDERS ERICSSON as ANDERSON one more time, or hear him say...

Re: OMG 2, could i have folded this?

Just being a nit here, but what exactly was illegal about his raise? If the blinds are 2/4, your bet TO 12 constitutes a raise of 8, his raise to 22 constitutes a raise of 10. Am I missing...

Re: PSA: Arizona 2+2 Summit (pre-trip report)

yeah,

I busted at about 8:30 and took off, sorry I missed you. If I'd played that AQ suited I'd have had TONS of chips and probably would have cruised to the last two tables. . . but I didn't so...

Re: PSA: Arizona 2+2 Summit (pre-trip report)

I live in Vail, SE of Tucson, I'd love to swing by to say hello. I don't post often, but I do spend time on the boards every day. I'd welcome the chance to meet some fellow 2+2ers. PM me if you...

Re: OT: Personality Types in the SNG forum

Another boring INTJ here. . .

Less than 1% of the population, but almost one third of the respondents here, hmm. . . perhaps it says something about the population of this forum, or maybe the...

Re: Sudoku - exercise for poker players?

I would guess that puzzles like Sudoku probably do have some value for poker players. It probably explains why they appeal to people like us in the first place. Logic and reason are at the heart of...

Re: $33 QQ hand, any improvements?

I don't think you could really be faulted for the way you played this, except maybe the PF raise, it was a bit too big (almost 7 times the BB). At least with a raise that size, you could be certain...

Re: Player mucks cards then pulls them out to hit boat

I don't think there will even be a debate about this. The fact that the QQ was all-in is irrelevant, once those cards hit the muck, they're dead. The dealer shouldn't have bothered finishing the...

I had a chuckle after reading Dan Mezick's comment a few replies ago, since he hit on exactly the thing that I did. Anyone who is serious enough about learning how to play well to borrow a book, but...

Re: Looking for home game in southern AZ

I probably should have mentioned, my old weekly game was a $35 NLHE tourney with roughly 20-30 players each week, with frequent side games for the players who busted out early. Usually another HE or...
