Re: 109--Bubble play with chip lead

Any hand that this tight player reraises with will win > 70% of the time against A-2. Do you want to be all-in as this big a dog when you're the chip leader on the bubble? If there are no hands that...

If the big blind has been playing tight then wouldn't a raise of 4 or 5xBB get him to fold any hand that he would've folded to an all-in bet? Or do you believe that there are hands that he would fold...

The strategy of the large stack giving a pot to a small stack so the large stack can win...

Re: Was I cheated on PokerStars?

If the small stacks were a little bigger and the large stack a little smaller then that would make sense. But my stack was 690, the short stack was 265, and the large stack was 8755. The blinds were...

Was I cheated on PokerStars?

$20 SNG; 4 players left. Stacks are 3790, 265, 690, 8755.

The short stack (265) is in the big blind; I'm in third with 690. The blinds are 100-200; antes are 25.

The large stack (8755) calls...

Re: What the f***

UTG+1 either limped with A-A or Q-Q and then decided to slow play his set; limped with J-J and was going for the check raise on the turn; or made two pair with the five on the river. Because 3 of the...

Re: KK, your move here?

What if your opponent doesn't check raise on the flop but merely calls? A blank comes on the turn. What does the hero do now? If you don't bet you still encourage a weaker hand to bluff. If you bet...

Re: Near bubble / On bubble help

1. I wouldn't go all in here because you're only going to get called by hands that dominate you: A-A, K-K and probably A-K. If your opponents put you on A-K or suspect you're on a steal they may call...

I had the same problem Wednesday night. I uninstalled and then re-installed the Empire software. It worked fine after that. But then Thursday night when I double-clicked the Empire icon nothing...

Re: Backgammon Books

I've read most of the books on backgammon and the single best book to help a beginning player understand the game and become an advanced player is Backgammon Boot Camp by Walter Trice. It's available...
