Have I been...

Am I destined to lose a lot of chips on this hand?

SB challenged me on almost every steal attempt eventually folding after flop bet(hmm, perhaps this was a hint I should have taken), and when I was in SB if I limped he would raise up and I would have...

1. rainbow ragged flop
2. 2...

Re: ? about stealing (stack depth) + hand analysis

I did not read this whole thread, so forgive me if I repeat someone.

You came in for a raise with 10BB stack and were called. You either have to check this flop and fold to a bet, or if you are...

Re: KK first hand of PP 20+2

I think that after he calls the flop pot bet that you should have checked and folded on a turn bet. I think it is too likely that you are beat here and going all-in is just too risky on the first...

Re: Short-stacked in a tournament.

I would consider 0 to 3BBs to be desparately shortstacked as you really have no plays other than pushing or folding. 3 to 12BBs makes you shortstacked because your options for playing a hand are...

Getting Better

What about all the times you have two overcards and need to know how big of a pot it needs to be so you can take a card off?

Could someone offer some thoughts on the answer to this question...

Re: AA was this a bad play?

I wanted to make sure that the all in portion of the play was right versus just calling the all in from the short stack to entice the caller to throw more chips in, or if the push is the only option...

Blind stealing hands and position

Are there hands that you just would not try a blind steal with, ie KQ, KJ, KT?

Would low cards be better? I have recently adopted the thought that it is better to attemp blind steals with cards...

Re: Odds required to play uncoordinated rags in BB?

why would you not play any two cards if you are getting 10 to 1? what is the down side since almost no hands is a 10 or 11 to 1 dog?

Could you elaborate please?

If you were a 8 to 1 dog would...

Re: tourney first: whats the longest you\'ve NOT played a hand

Exactly. You must start stealing every so often so as not to get blinded down. The beauty of the blind steal attempt is that you can do it with any two cards. If you get called and the flop misses...

Re: Odds required to play uncoordinated rags in BB?

if you are in the small blind and are getting 10 to 1 you would play any two cards, i.e. 5 limpers. I don't see why you can't apply the same rationale to the BB as long as you take into...

Re: 1st hand of $150 MTT

I think that the BB laid a great trap. CO figures he either was trying to steal the pot with big reraise PF, and then he checks like maybe he has nothing, or maybe a couple overcards AK, AQ that the...
