Re: My typical day

[ QUOTE ]

Since I think day care is healthy for a child, of course it isn't preferable. Their current situation seems normal and healthy to me. Of course I don't try to bash others on the head...

And what if the money the mother earns is the difference between a university education or not for the child when he get older. Is her actions still selfish? What about if it makes the...

Women in the workplace. Who came up with that crazy idea?
Not like the good old days. Those selfish evil women should know their place.

Re: My typical day

I'll say it again. 4 or 5 hours a week of interaction with other kids away form home is GREAT. NECESSARY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I never said it wasn't. All daycare is not bad. Read that again. I agree...

Re: My typical day

[ QUOTE ]
It is POSITIVE for children to be put in social environments away from home at an early age. Read some parenting books

Yes. And she has chosen an option that works for her.

Yep, works great for her. For the kid, not so much.

Re: My typical day

[ QUOTE ]
I think it is healthy for a child to interact with other children instead of being home with their mother all the day. There are other benefits besides developing social skills, such as...

Re: why do i do this? How do I stop?

Hand #1 you just can't get away from it. Don't make "reads" based on fear. If you never folded top set in 100NL for the rest of your life you wouldn't be far off optimal play. We're allowed to go...

If I said I put kid in daycare for a job, no problem. Playing poker, oh my god. Even ppl on this board feel this way.

I don't feel that way...putting this child in...

Re: What is a Good Win Rate for Party 25 NL/PL

[ QUOTE ]

Crushing? A well-known 2+2er (that doesn't post in this forum) beat the 25s for 17bb/100 over 80k. That is crushing.

[/ QUOTE ]

So if it's not the highest winrate you ever heard...

[ QUOTE ]
I raise AK, get a call from a LAG who limped before me.

Flop is something like A J 6. He checks, I make my 'continuation bet'. He calls.

Turn goes check-check....

Teaching my son chess

Ok all you chess fans out there...my son has been bugging me to teach him to play chess. He's 9, very bright and good at games.

I taught the basics of the game, how the pieces move, check,...

Re: Good squeeze or blatant spewery?

"I don't want callers preflop, I'm trying to take it down without a flop because of all the dead money."

Why risk $45 to win $5? I'd like to think more then once out of 9 times someone...

I've been playing with this lately....

Re: Good squeeze or blatant spewery?

[ QUOTE ]
Although sometimes I find that 100 from a 120-130 stack has more fold equity than a push. I find that single chips have a lot of FE. 25s have a lot, but 100s have a ton. Weird, but I'm...

Re: Good squeeze or blatant spewery?

I'd rather make this play with junk. 44 is a great implied odds hand in this position on the BN with tons of callers in a raised pot.

Re: Good squeeze or blatant spewery?

I know the obvious play is call and try to flop a set. This is an image play/bluff. I know they are frowned upon by most here, but I like to try things now and then, I'm not afraid to drop a stack...

Good squeeze or blatant spewery?

Re: average hands per hour at 100 NL 6 max

[ QUOTE ]
6-max goes about 75 hands per hour.

PP25 has about 30-35 raked hands per hour
PP50 has about 50 raked hands per hour
I haven't tracked PP100 or higher. It's probably around 50 too....

Re: Overthinking Micro Stakes?

Agree with everyone else, fancy play is usually not what's needed.

And don't fall into the trap of thinking you'll do better against better players. You won't. Learn to beat up on the bad players...

Re: JJ overpair OOP - 2 callers on Flop

Button's overcall looks pretty scary. I want to check here, but then again I'm a big wuss.
