Re: Follow up bets

Re: The \"See? I\'m not lame!\" hand reveal

These same players will not push all-in with K7o in the right spot (short table, shortstacked, deep in the event, in position, first in, for example) because they fear losing face if they have to...

Re: Foxwoods $100 MTT - going broke in level 1 w/ TPTK

He makes an out-of-line UTG+1 raise with a trouble hand and lucks out on the flop. Fine. He celebrates by checking it, to let you catch up. When the 9 comes on the turn he fears KT and any 2 clubs or...

Re: Do You Ever Worry About a Better Two-Card Flush?

I'm slowing way down and playing cautiously-- I'm holding the non-nut flush where the 10, Q K and A of diamonds all have me beat. And multiple callers are still in this pot.

And dont most of them...

Re: I forgot how to play poker.

Sizing bets per trade, as a function of portfolio equity size, is a very common risk control policy and practice used by almost all traders.

Trading and poker are both games where you are supposed...

Hellmuth Lateness Policy

I think the primary motivation is to display utter and complete contempt of, and disrespect for, the other players.

Re: um, QQ fold preflop?

I'm dying to hear from the elite posters in this forum on this situation. Out of position facing a large raise and 2 to act behind holding QQ, great example to discuss.

Re: An odd example of losing it..

Take responsibility for your connection. The player is doing his job taking every advantage you offer.

Re: How Many Suckouts Do You Make In Your Tourney Wins?

I believe 2 to 4 suckouts per 200 hands or so is what I experience on the way to just about every final table I experience.

Usually it's a pair against pair battle where I have cut it a little...

Re: What would you with $20K?

East,

Mutual funds managers dont dispense personal financial advice, they just do a job managing a portfolio in accordance with the mutual fund's stated profile and objectives.

CFPs provide a...

How You Are Eliminated: What Does It Say?

I think it says alot about the maturity of your tournament game.

Others might assert it says absolutely nothing.

But I think the hand you go broke with in a tournament tells more about the...

Re: What would you with $20K?

Good move.

Some CFP (maybe your office) is going to make a pretty penny advising the best of the 2+2 young guns. The ideal CFP will be a poker player and capable of assuming a mentoring role with...

Re: Self discipline techniques

Start with working on your issues. What issues?

Too much aggression post flop often leads to huge avoidable losses....often followed immediately by:

* self-loathing,
* self-distrust,
