$20-40 AA huge pot

Ridiculous $20-40 game at Commerce. 6 people seeing the flop usually for two bets with all sorts of crap.

UTG (loose but very passive) limps, UTG+1 (only decent spot) raises, I 3-bet from MP with...

Anyone seen this before? (low content)

$2-5 NL at Commerce. UTG (decent player with $150) limps, CO (decent player with $200) limps, I ($600) limp, BB (bad player with $450) checks.

Flop: A /images/graemlins/spade.gif8...

Re: PP 15/30: Flopped FH, River Double Pairs the Board

I think you're more likely to be up against a high flush than a full house here. Therefore, you should bet since it's likely MP will check behind if you check. Call a raise.

Chris Daddy, you nailed it. The game wasn't too aggressive preflop and the UTG+1 guy limped with JTs.

$2-4 trips with no kicker

I'm in BB and get T5 (suits unimportant). UTG and UTG+1 (both decent players) limp, two LP players (both loose-aggressive) also limp.

Flop: TT2

I bet $15, UTG+1 calls, everyone else folds.

KK hand

$1-2 game at a local casino. I'm UTG with about $120 and pick up red kings. I have the 3 players in question covered. There's a maniac to my left raising almost every pot so I limp, looking to...

Re: KK Killpot Kurse...2 30/60 hands

Hand 1, there's not much you're can do. I think if anything, you should be happy the CO was a pussy and didn't get more $$ out of you after flopping the 2nd nuts.
Hand 2, you have to bet the turn,...

Re: Being put to the test with premium hands

Actually the more I think about, you're probably less than even money in hand 3 against a good opponent. I think that hand is the most player-dependent of the 3. Against a very good player, I may...

Re: Being put to the test with premium hands

Hand 1 is a very easy call against almost any opponent. Especially on PP, a lot of people will make that play with any overpair. You're ahead 95% here.
Hand 2 is slightly tougher but you still need...

Yeah, I did make a 5-bet misprint. I'm too used to playing at Bellagio. Regardless, UTG had QJo, the button had 22 for the set, and the MP1 had Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gifJ...

$20-40 Commerce. Loose preflop but tighter postflop.
I'm dealt T /images/graemlins/spade.gif9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif in CO.

Funny hand

I know this isn't the place to bitch about bad beats and I'm not, I just thought this story was entertaining.
Preflop: I open raise in MP1 with 77 (suits unimportant), and a maniac just to my left...

Re: How fast should I have played this?

It seems to me that MP had a decent ace, maybe ATs or AQ. I think you should have just called the raise on the flop. Then, bet out the turn if you think MP would check, or attempt a check-raise on...

Re: Giving Too Much Action: Hand 1 (Bellagio 15-30)

In that game, I'd say 95% of the time you're behind. I would put the BB on something like Kc9s. Since you said the BB is capable of tricky moves I might call down but I'd be surprised to win.

Re: Two $15-30 hands that bugged me

Cuse, I like your line of thinking. In the 2nd hand, I definitely wasn't thinking that MP1 had a flush, which was stupid because I knew for her to bet into a raiser she needed a great hand. I was...

Yeah, I couldn't believe the lady laid down the 2nd nut flush, especially after seeing her make two calldowns with marginal hands against a rock who had her crushed both times.
The first hand is a...

Two $15-30 hands that bugged me

Both hands were Bellagio $15-30.
Hand 1: I'm on the button.
UTG calls, UTG+1 (very loose but very predictable postflop) calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO (decent player) raises, I look at 9...

Although a case can obviously be made for calling or folding, I thought with a 4-bet by a passive player and a cap by a good player, there was a very good chances aces were out there and one or both...

Re: Folding KK preflop in a limit game

I probably would've 5-bet if the CO had folded, although I wouldn't have been surprised if MP1 had shown aces.

Folding KK preflop in a limit game

$15-30 at the Bellagio. I picked up KK on the button and was ready to throw my chips in when this happened: UTG (decent player) raised, UTG+2 (LAG) 3-bet, MP1 (tight passive) 4-bets, and CO (good...

Re: 20-40 Hand at the Commerce

I think throwing cards away in turn is generally not bad etiquette because it doesn't really change the outcome of the hand. However, in a 3-handed situation, I think throwing your hand into the muck...

I agree with both of you that a bet is in order. I bet the river, he called, and flipped over T9o for the rivered gutshot. Barry you were right, he was too scared to raise with a 9.

KQ value bet on dangerous board

Great $15-30 at Bellagio. I open-raise KQo in MP (suits don't come into play here), get an okay caller to my immediate left, weaks blinds both call.
Flop: Q T 8
SB checks, BB bets, I raise, folds...

I\'m an underdog, but know his cards

The other day I was playing at an okay $15-30 at the Bellagio and ended up in a hand with a guy to my right. He had been seeing almost every flop and making snide comments whenver he won a pot, which...
