Re: Bubble play w/ 7 players left?

It#s more a psycholgical problem, I think.

You are used to other conditions. The usual mix of super tighties and donks. You concentrate on the donks to get them in a big pot when you have a hand...

Re: OT: PokerStars = T$/W$

If you look at the cashier you'll see if you have T$ or W$. You get those for certain MTTs instead of real $. You can use T$ to buy in on all tourneys but can use W$ only for certain events.

So,...

Re: $55: Have TPTK and facing a reraise on flop

Hard to find an excuse for UTGs PF miniraise (maybe AA, but UTG?), thus it is hard to think of him as a good player.

Then, the lame ass reraise at the flop? At the 55s? I have a bad leak: I need...

Re: $22: Push or wait with an uber short stack

So, I 've read allmost all posts and I think pushing is best here. Three reasons:

1) J8o with two possible callers is good enough outright to justify risking the little equity that you have left....

Re: When did Paradise leave the stone age?

I still have like 600 Bonus dollars there. Too bad that they give only 10% back through the bonus. Otherwise I would play there.

How are the tourneys anyway? Slow?

Re: Party \"Verifying my account\"

Yes. Look in the archives here. It is one of the sure fire ways to get banned.

Re: $22: UTG confusion

This is exactly where I will experiment in the future with the ominous miniraise. I hate others doing this but I hate even more that this seems to be effective in the low PS buy ins. I always seem to...

Re: Curtains made me do it! #3

Dunno, what I would do here. KQ in that situation is always a tough hand for me. In a normal 15+1 game I put in a standard raise because players rarely come over the top. In a stupid/aggressive game...

Re: $55 - Ballsy? Stupid? Stupid Balls?

I move in here too. Life is complicated enough and here is a chance to profitably simplify it.

Re: Curtains made me do it! #2

I like your line. For me, to correctly apply it, I must learn however to stick to your thought that you'll fold against resistance and not getting suddenly carried away with pot odds or something,

Re: Curtains made me do it! #2

My standard play at the 15+1 is to push and I am called with amzing hands like T7o. Probably I shouldn't do this in the low buy ins. In the medium buy ins I would push this every day. The calling...

Re: hours put in each week

[ QUOTE ]
I don't really work to an hourly rate. I have a target of 5k a week. I'll go all out starting Monday to hit that target and I'm usually done by Wednesday/Thursday. I get a nice long...

Re: Back to basics - who completes this?

OK, but what do you all do if there hasn't been a limper and SB miniraises you with Arag?

Re: Shortstacked: desperation call

I see it the same.

You are short stacked. The best moment to move your chips in is when somebody in front of you goes all-in. Ideally, this would be the big stack to give you the best chance to...

Re: OT: Do you have an unlucky hand?

Mine is TT. If they have it I almost never catch. If I catch they catch their 3rd T. If I have TT they always catch their K or A.

Re: Which is better ROI, 800 chips or 1500 chips..in general

The turbos at PS are at least as fast as Party SnGs.

I wonder about the profitability also but have not come to a conclusion. It's probably about the same. I like PS much more than crappy Party,...

Re: 2006 SNG Goals

This year I made about 10K from poker and whoring.

Next year I want to earn 10 K from the tables. I will start playing successfully the 55s within 4 months.

I will make less boners per tourneys.

Re: My Recap of Last Year\'s New Year\'s Eve!

No worries. I enjoyed the reading. Nothing better than greeting the new year with a good olf-fashioned clean-your body-from-the-inside ritual.

Re: QQ on the bubble heavy action ($55)

I don't think 2215+ is enough. You'll need enough to survive the small blind coming up next in case the guy with 2210 wins.

How good am I heads up?

Stats for PS 15+1 and 25+2:

Total hands heads up: 1000+
Win rate: 22 BB/100, Big Blind win rate: 38 BB/100, SB win rate: 4BB/100
Heads up confrontations won: 65%

To early to call?

Re: QQ on the bubble heavy action ($55)

I guesstimate that you are slightly over 50% to win here. This would give you an EV of 0.66 x 50% + .33 x 30% = 43% of the prize money. So, half of it would be around 22%.

If you let it go your...
