Re: 6/12 Borg - KK question

What hands are you worried about?

His lack of a pre-flop cap makes AA less likely, and the only hand he can have that contains a 9 is 99, no?

The Ten on the river kinda sucks, but I would 3-bet...

Re: x post from SS, annoying turn situation

Against all but the most passive of players I think this will be a Queen, a hand like 66, or a club draw with a pair way more often than needed to make a calldown good.

(Especially with the...

PokerTracker and Gmail

I can't seem to set up my POP3 stuff on PokerTracker to work with my Gmail account.

I put the correct server name in and the correct port, (at least, these numbers are the same as my Thunderbird...

Re: I suck at playing overcards.

Hand 2 seems alright to me.

Betting or not betting that flop against 3 opponents can be a delicate decision, but since your bet might buy the button and that flop isn't super draw-heavy, (not to...

Re: KK on AAx board (6 max)

I would bet.

Don't give these guys too much credit where they don't deserve it.

If it goes bet/call/raise, I would fold.

If it goes bet/fold/raise, I would call down.

If it goes...

Re: KQ. Two pair.

What about 88, 99, or QQ?

What's your line if he caps the turn and leads the river and you don't fill up?

If your mind is set on showing down unimproved, which it probably should be against an...

Re: KQ. Two pair.

I doubt this is AK, but I would call down anyway.

If you raise and he caps you're screwed, but you have outs against 88, 99 and QQ that I wouldn't want to give up. He could also be freerolling...

Re: Protect this hand?

Nice hand.

How you play the river depends on what you think the villian is most likely to do with his possible holdings.

Are you a bigger favorite when you check and call, or when you bet?

Re: Overcard Delema

Put the pot size out there on each street, you'll get more responses.

Re: Turn decision...

After you hit your Jack and are squeezing those extra bets out of the Button, you'll be losing.

When it has a higher expectation than raising or folding.

Re: I got emotional like Andrew Black last night.

Yeah, that's exactly the same situation.

BTW, the two other guys you were playing with should be congratulated, as they're the world's largest and second largest pricks. Well done.

Re: JJ, opening hand

[ QUOTE ]
At the $10 level, if you play this hand 100 times, and the flop has an ace in it, you're going to be looking at AT LEAST A-x about 90 times - they just won't toss a hand with any ace in it...

I limp with jacks or lower in lvl 1 or 2. That is assuming this is an $11 or $22.

Re: JJ, opening hand

It was a $10 buy-in.

One thing I'm not too sure about at this point, (but something I'm trying to get better at), is how much to bet and raise relative to the size of the pot and the size of my...

Re: 15/30 AK

UTG seems decent and you've shown a lot of strength.

I think you're probably screwed by 99, but I guess there's also a decent chance you're chopping.

The guys in the middle don't seem too...

Re: Weak-tight KK line?

Not necessarily, because he probably has an Ace the other 50% of the time.

I would call the flop raise though, and see what happens on the turn.

Lots of times he'll give up his semi-bluff and...
