Re: $11 A9 in blinds, rr?

[ QUOTE ]
How often can you assume the minraise was a steal, and this continuation bet deserves to be re-raised?

[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not reraising, but not because it "doesn't deserve to be." ...

Re: $55-- FPS or Donk calling off my stack

Just because he'll bet a lot doesn't mean that he never has something. I too much prefer a turn raise to calling the turn and calling the river. As others have pointed out, his "bluff" can very...

[ QUOTE ]
Nobody is raising AJ from the button preflop here? Why are we letting MP1 and the blinds in for a cheap flop?

Re: OT: Blackjack

A friend of mine dropped $12K in one night on Party blackjack three nights ago. Brilliant move by Party. And I think we need to get my friend some help.

Re: $55 NL SNG...Aces vs. Monotone flop

Against a made flush you have 7 outs, against a set you have 11 outs, and against pretty much everything else you're in great shape. I think you have to call.

Though, as downtown said, I think...

Re: 40 Tabling

If you get a multi-monitor setup for your computer, there is software that will "smooth out" the monitors and make it easier to move monitor-to-monitor. If you're getting a new computer from Dell, I...

Re: Home: help with a hand

970 in the pot on the turn, straight and flush draws on board. You have approximately 900 chips left. I'm pushing that turn. Take the pot down or make him pay to hit his draw.

Re: (22) Monsters under the bed?

[ QUOTE ]
Definite case of MUBS, especially at a 22. If you bet (I think you should) and he raises, though, you should start to get scared, as his range is preflop is something like any pocket pair,...

Re: OT: HOW can i prove i\'m not a BOT???

I wish you the best of luck with this. All I can say is to be persistent. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Party Poker for a research project (and I was just asking for info, not...

Re: AA hand from the $ 22\'s

Don't think you can release this. You played it fine. Folding would be a huge mistake.

Re: Another interesting table read - perhaps ($22)

I'm reraising this preflop. I don't think you're seeing someone who reraises folding to another raise at a $22 very frequently.

Given that you played it the way you did, I can't imagine any turn...

Re: OT: HOW can i prove i\'m not a BOT???

That sucks that you lose 15k and I would highly advise against trying to get legal with party. If you try to scare them by sharing your 'bad experiences' with others in an attempt to get...

Re: Standard or just plain bad?

[ QUOTE ]

Given the short history of the Button min-raise, your 11-bb's, a decent little A2s...a pretty good spot for a resteal PF.

You got a great flop, a weak'ish lead, plenty of...

Re: Do you think this is a bluff?

[ QUOTE ]
Tigerite's idea of not making it that easy on him is an interesting one. He also is retaining 1000ish by folding. He's not calling a push from you here without the Ace. Would he try...

Re: A couple of Bubble hands

I disagree that the second hand is better than the first. Technically 8 high is better than 7 high but we must consider that we will be going in as an underdog against any hand that...

Re: Is this a push

I'd push here. Yeah, ideally you find a situation that you won't get called, but given that it doesn't look like this guy will give you that opportunity you have to do it now when you have a decent...

Re: Do you think this is a bluff?

I don't think you can get away from this. I don't think there are a ton of players at $22s betting into a preflop raiser with trip aces on the flop. I'd expect to see a T more frequently than an A,...

Re: What to do with a Child who plays SNG\'s?

While I think the college savings idea is a good one, the bigger issue is whether a 9 year old should be playing this much poker, or if he should be playing any at all.

I didn't play with any...

It should be noted that the cards have been dry for a while thus far and AK is the first real hand, so you may be wanting to gain something from it, or should the blinds be...

Re: (22) Lay down AQ?

Yeah, barring a really good read I think you have to fold. You aren't thrilled to see anything other than hands like AT and A9, and I don't think those are too likely.
