What\'s the right play?

Live game in AC. I'm there for a friend's bday and I have been there for less than an orbit and haven't played or paid attention to a single hand. I'm donking 1-2, waiting for everyone to come down...

Re: 2/5 KK

I'm pretty sure you were going to stack him no matter what based on the cards. Being patient may have kept AK/KQ in the hand and gives a semi-bluffed straight draw a chance to catch it and hang...

Re: NYC Player - quit? - low content

[ QUOTE ]
A jump down from 20/40 NL to 1/2 NL seems a little unlikely, but hey, whatever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nah, my highest win rate in the city is 5-5 and AC I'd have to say 5-10 because I don't...

Re: NYC Player - quit? - low content

It's cool that you don't believe me.

I was referring to milking type bets in situations where I have the best hand less than 1/2 the time but would like to see a show down. Not exactly brilliant....

NYC Player - quit? - low content

I am/was a $150 an hour live NL player playing mostly in NYC and about one weekend a month at the Borg in AC.
I was at 72nd during the raid. The experience turned me off and now the club closest to...

You are giving him the odds to call and fill up. Raise bigger.

Re: Dealer wants a bigger tip

[ QUOTE ]
The dealer doesn't need to ask the other players to rabbit the next card. This is done as a courtesy when asked, but isn't necessary. If the player said I'll give you $2 for the rabbit,...

Re: Biggest NL game in AC?

The 25-50 didn't go Friday night or the early part of Saturday (10-25 couldn't even get going by 7:00 Saturday) but I asked the floor and he said the 10-25 is 5K min, uncapped.

Re: Dealer wants a bigger tip

2 bad dealers at the borg this weekend.
I bought a pot pre-flop. It was a $600 pot but it was fairly quick (QQ re-raised me, I pushed and he folded). I had no whites so I asked for 10 whites and...

Re: Biggest NL game in AC?

There are some good players that play the 10-25 but I don't know if they are known names.
I'll be at the Borg tonight. I won't play it (I never have) but I'll find out what the max buy in is for the...

Re: NYC poker raid?

I was in 72. Raided at 11:30. Players searched, IDed and let go, took about 1.5 hours.
Nothing bigger than red was left on the tables, but I'm guessing the chips are merely souviners.
The officers...

Re: 2 pocket pair hands wherein I suck

In hand 1 I don't like the turn bet. He's not dropping an A (gut shot and overs) or any pocket pair (because they're all over pairs) to a 1/2 pot bet and I don't think you're hand is good enough to...
