Re: **Sigh**
I would have bet the flop. A bet there may have forced out someone holding top pair and someone holding rags with an 8. I don't think you are up against a made flush, but it is difficult to say...

Re: What is your river action?
I put him on a J, KJ or QJ. I thought he was taking a stab on the river since 1) the turn was checked around and 2) there are open-raising hands without an Ace, so the Ace was both not scary for him...

Re: A9o on button?
Preflop: I would fold A9o
Flop and turn: Perfect.
River: Tricky, but I would probably bet since you weren't raised on the turn. When UTG calls, I would put him an a Ace, at best AT. Then MP...

Re: My First Hand History Post
One more thing to improve future posts is using the suit icons. Also, don't post the showdown until you receive comments.
Don't be afraid of third suited card--raise the turn. I would put BB on...

Re: Cap the river?

How do you know a woman sat in the chair?

I don't KNOW that it was a girl, but the picture was a woman and a few of the (perhaps) guys at the table were hitting on her....

Re: Cap the river?
I think I would cap in this situation again. On the turn, I thought that she could be using the A as a scare card to bet into me. If she had AT, I probably would have heard about it on the flop...

Re: Two Jacks hands
Hand 1: EP2 had 88 and BB had 83o. I probably should have folded to the c/r. EP2 even said so--to anyone who would listen--for the next 10 minutes.
Hand 2: SB had A /images/graemlins/heart.gif Q...

Re: Results
Thank you, thirddan. I agree that turn folds were in order.
Hand 1: SB flopped a set with 77 and MP1 had kings. EP1 wins with 52s and I came in 4th.
Hand 2: Same guy, now EP2, wins again with...

Very well played. Too bad you lost one on the turn, the checkraise would have felt sweeter.

Thank you all for the anaylsis.
Do to the impending all-in, I thought a raise might get me headsup against the "any two" player who I had position over.
In this particular situation, the caller...

Re: Tilt - Not getting any starting hands
If you aren't getting cards, fold, fold and fold some more.
As for the calling station, you want to play against them. Don't let their luck tilt you. When the good cards come, they will be your...

Re: Slow down with QQ?
If you reraise the flop and he caps, I would still bet out on the turn and see if he pops it before going to check-call. If you reraise the flop and he caps it, you might shake MP1, but this MP1...
