Re: 2 hands same villain

I might bet about half my stack on the first hand.I see your reasoning on the second hand. If he has a king here and puts on on a raise with a flush draw, you get all of his money. The second hand I...

Re: Am I a donkey?

This is just one of those kinda hands. I would not suspect aces with such a large reraise. Most players with aces will raise 2 or 3 times your raise. Bad luck

Re: What do overbets usually mean in online tourneys?

IMO the tighter the player the more it means. Of course I play lower limits 25-less. Really weak tight kinds usually overbet when the have a big hand and wild players will do it with any holding

Some hands come up for me and I play them like this. Does anyone think this is wrong.

Early in tourney with fairly deep stacks both hero and villian have over 75BB.

Everyone folds to me and I...

Re: AKo superdatellite final table

I really think it can go either way. Hero is one of the biggest stacks. I think that works two ways he does not wanna give away chips to put himself in danger, but he has enouh chips that I dont...

Re: PokerRoom 10+1. Smart Play or Donkey Play

[ QUOTE ]
I think perhaps more information would be helpful. I was under the impression that this was in the middle to late stages of an MTT, is this right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, about 85 people...

Yeah, I can understand that reasoning, but there is no side pot. Call and check it down unless the flop comes JJJ or something. I know you are thinking "play the situation not the hand"...

Re: PokerRoom 10+1. Smart Play or Donkey Play

I think some of you are looking at this in a wrong sense. The reason that I am isolating here with J8s has nothing to do with the fact that i have J8. Without doing the exact calculations, I think it...

Re: Hand from 20+2 huge overbet

Some things to consider. We have been playing less than 15 minutes and he has tripled his chips. He was not at my table for this so either the deck hit him in the mouth or he has some gamble. As far...

Hand from 20+2 huge overbet

Blinds are still at 10\20.

Here are the three revelant stacks in this hand.
UTG - 380.
UTG+1 - 4800.
Hero is in BB with 2100

UTG moves all in for 380. UTG +1 raise all in for 4800.

I am...

Re: Thoughts on New Stars 20% Structure

maybe it is a big difference. I did not even know the pay schedule. It is better for pokerstars becuase more people play and the lesser players go broke slower.

Re: Thoughts on New Stars 20% Structure

This is just a thought but it seems like it would improve your total return on investment because of the increase of number of money finishes, yet with the top prizes being so similar it would not...

Re: Induce Bluff or Value Bet?

I would check because

If he has no hand that is the only way you will win anymore chips if for him to bluff. If you bet and he has nothing, he folds. If he has a monster and you lead into it and...

Re: Calling an all-in with Q-10suited (let the beatings begin)

With a stack that small, first in will not help him. If the big blind has a clue of how to play poker at all, he would call before he ever looked at his cards and possbily the small blind also.

Re: AKo early in a 10+1, anything wrong with this?

No, You got 3to1 on your money as a huge favorite. I think if one of the guys flopped a set so be it time for next tourney. I think you played it correctly, just bad luck.

Re: I want to stick my head in the sand with this KK hand.

I think i would raise preflop a little more to say 800 or so to try to really thin the field. The flop is a tough spot. I think the CO would have the largest range of hands since both the other...
