i'd play it the same way. MP likely has a set and was trying to get a cheap showdown/ draw for a boat. no way does 56 cap the turn and not lead the river.

I would 3-bet after the 2nd draw. you can eliminate a player and possible move the raiser off a better hand. If you are behind you are drawing very light and are much better staying pat and calling...
