I work for a financial planner here in Michigan. I am not liscened to give specific advice, but I can tell you that you can do much better than CD's and savings accounts and still invest safely.

Motor City and Greektown have NL and Limit games. Also Omaha and Stud. The limits for NL are 50-100 max at G-town and 50-200 max at M-City.

I think the biggest mistake was not betting enough on the turn. I good bet would have been at least 2/3 the pot. It also seems probable that the river didnt help him. At best he might have had J8....

what do you mean by B and M? It's remarkable to me how much different casino play is. If the blinds are 1/2 in a nl $100 or $200 max game you see pre flop raises of $10-20! So it becomes very easy...

sounds like some thing that happens more often in lower limit games where people have less to loose and tend to play looser, but after he went all in your call would have correct unless it demolished...
