Re: Two hands (Stars 45k)

ZBTHorton,

Three way action is pretty sexy. I think even with possible higher flush draws and redraws you've got great equity.

Re: Size Does Matter

[ QUOTE ]
I put him on JT, KJ or maybe a medium pair.

[/ QUOTE ]

So the hero is winning and the villain is drawing to five or fewer outs. Shouldn't we try to avoid scaring him off?

Re: Size Does Matter

If you really think he has a big draw wouldn't it be more profitable to wait and raise the turn when you are ahead?

Re: Size Does Matter

Does the sb have a baby picture? Oh right, he seems solid. Well then probably not a good idea to shove.

I tend to call here at least some of the time and I'm having trouble explaining why so maybe...

Re: Interesting hand from the Bellagio 2k tournament

I think you should have gone all in to isolate the short stack. He has a very low M and you described him as desperate so it seems safe to assume that he has a wide range of hands and playing with...

Re: yo cossio wtf?

Well when you phrase it as "100% of the time" it makes it sound more unreasonable than it is. I do *always* raise aces in this situation and I'd venture to say that a lot of us are. I don't think of...

Re: yo cossio wtf?

I wanted to give someone else a chance to comment on the action before posting my opinion. I think the limp is bad. Jeff said it pretty well. (The hand was at his table but we were discussing the...

Re: www.thepokerdb.com

This is far worse than talking about 2+2 or pot odds or whatever. Indisputable proof to a fish that he loses consistently over the long term... I guess mtt fish justify it by hoping for the big score.

Re: 30+3 Deepstack hand J8s

You only get called when you are beaten. I suppose you can bluff out 1010, but everything else that folds you were ahead of anyway. You are bluffing with the best hand and the fact that it works 80%...

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm

Disregard the weak/tight gentleman. It is a MUST CALL. There are only half a dozen players on pokerstars I'd put on {77, 44, 22} here. Against other possible hands you have the right price.

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm

I'm glad 3498573475 people agreed with my simple calculations to call the shove. I don't think this tells us how to play the hand optimally. After all hero could have 32o and 5k chips, hero bets 4999...

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm

Once you get here I think you have to call. You are calling around 4400 into around 8k.

Hand 2: 55.7586 % [ 00.56 00.00 ] {...

Re: hand from 650 satellite

Surprised no one said this: big draw.
I don't think the villain has a set or two pair here very often at all. I doubt you will ever see a made straight. Likely hands are flush draw + overs, pair+...
