Re: Toldeo at Fresno St 9-27

I hear you but I think with your line I would rather have a -EV middle

Here's proof ....

There's $795 in the pot. Assuming you have only 4 outs to beat button you're 16% to win.

.16($795) = $127

84% of the time you lose your $180;

.84($180) = $151

I know those odds, I was talking about % of time UTG needs to fold. I had 1 diamond on board too, so I could go runner runner flush. Plus I don't feel so bad if button has AK...sometimes...

Re: gutshot

Pot is giving 4.3 to 1
4 outs / 2 cards is giving 5 to 1

you do get big metagame points though.

Re: gutshot

i don't like this at all. even if the other big stack folds to your all in, you are not getting the correct odds to play.
also, villian could have hit the flop hard and just called so you would...

Re: How many 6max tables do you play at once?

I see a few $1000 regulars who manage > 4 but I can only do 3

when you get to 10/20 i'm sure you will want two monitors though

Re: Two Jacks

I like it...

MP should find a fold with QQ KK and AA

9 of clubs is a big scare card esp b/c of his large flop bet

Re: prob lots of hands

i think 1/4 is too often. against a good regular i will push maybe 10% of the time leaning towards early (in the session) rather than later for obvious reasons. even if called you can exploit it...

Re: More so-called LAG play

Matt,

why are you getting bored with 5/10 6max? Where will you go next?

Re: 5/10 6max hand, river question

I think this is an easy call. almost everything you beat folds and there are plenty of hands better than yours out there.

Re: 5/10 6 max, min raise ok?

[ QUOTE ]
60 in the pot, he bets 40, you raise to 80, making the pot $180 back to him and he pushes $1130 in? I'd say he's much more aggressive than tight.

that was my read on him...

Re: 5/10 6 max, min raise ok?

i don't really care about this hand; rather, wanted to get some other opinions on the min raise. Do you ever use it? Do you never use it? I've always heard/read that min raising in NL is a bad...
