Re: 5/5 NL, Deep Stacks: whose ball.... boat is bigger?

No way you're beat. If you hare, I'll donate some of my Sklansky bucks to you. If he's as described (tight player), what could he have that beats you?

I think your previous big pot, with the big...

Re: 5/10 6-max: KhK flops 3 hearts

Check city. I'm probably weak for saying it, but I'm a weak player. Check and call a bluff on the river

Re: Would you drop bottom set?

Oh... I just read further. BB moved in... that changes things.

Call /images/graemlins/smile.gif

100 BB you're not deep enough really. Just call. This is why we have $30K rolls for $10/20...

Re: Guess my hand please

You flopped a set... perhaps QQ. I don't know how many handed the game is, so I can't say if you'd raise with 33. My guess is QQ. You hit top set, but with a big draw out there. You protected it....

Re: AA - am I beat here?

Call. The reason you check the turn is to keep the pot small so you CAN call a raise like this on the river. I can't lay it down unless I know the player to not get out of line. Call and you can take...

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

the play at this table seems pretty weak, actually

Re: value bet gone wrong....river play ?

I can't imagine what they guy would raise with here that doesn't beat you. But we don't know anything about the guy. I like check-calling the river for this very reason... if you're willing to raise...

Re: Some private messages I\'ve received

Malheureusement je deteste Maupassant. Mais... Mallarmé est très formidable. Peut-être vous voudriez lire ma thèse d'Université... c'est très ennuyeux

Re: 5/10 AA lots of callers preflop

A play I use quite a bit with those big cards is to check the turn and river. I don't want to lose a stack with big overpairs... I keep the pot small in these situations and also make money when a...

Re: 5/10 AA lots of callers preflop

I check. I hate letting the pot get too big with AA. Keep it small and allow him to bluff off some money to you on the river. If you're lost, you keep it small. The question is... if you pot it...

During WSOP, where is the best $$?

Ok - I'm rolling a friend for about $25,000 during the WSOP. We were both out there at the beginning of June. The Rio side games were decent, and the Wynn nl games were soft. What is the best place...

Re: Wynn 2/5 NL hand reading exercise

Do you see the kid coming over the top with 99 when he knows UTG shorty is likely in for the long haul?

Re: Wynn 2/5 NL hand reading exercise

UTG - TT, JJ (or worse pairs. This short, who the F knows)
MP1 - MUST have a hand better than 33/22, since UTG isn't deep enough to give this guy odds to call. After everyone is all in, he spend 20...

Re: KK 10/20 Party

Can't see a tight player (as you described) calling with Ac Qx out of position here. Ac Kx surely is possible, but I guess I'd rather have a pair and flush draw to push. Other possibilities are an...

Re: How many chips do you get to start out with in the wsop??

They are NOT going to one big chip. Instead, they will go to those goofy looking things they use in Europe that look like coasters. You can set your drinks on them AND use them to bet. I'm ALL IN!!!...
