Re: 3/6: AQ UI calldown

I think the turn is an easy raise, especially if you're seriously considering calling the river (frees showdown UI). This really looks like a 7 or small pp. Your raise really looks like trip kings...

Re: Knowing I\'m beat, yet calling anyway

I know you're asking leader, but the b/3b is all power. I don't think I've ever seen someone semi-bluff this way. Against unknown I would alwyas raise that donker and would try and find a fold to the...

Re: Knowing I\'m beat, yet calling anyway

after that b/3b you're getting 5/1 to see showdown, which I think is good enough against guys like this.

Board texture and continuation betting HU (and 3 handed): theoretical

I was just wondering if some can share their insights into flop continuation betting related to board texture, in position, after either raising a limper or only getting a call out of the blinds...

Re: Strange betting pattern....

I like the check, and I think this is a perfect spot to induce a bluff/ increase liklihood of getting paid off on river.
If villian has less than A or K we will very likely lose him on the turn. On...

Re: I started doing this lately...

I've been employing the free card play alot more too. As you point out, the math works out if you have two clean overs and get the free card. This is a great bluff board for sb.

I would...

Re: Loose ep 5/10

The important thing is: he will always bet when you're beat and may check when your hand is good. You need to get that bet the times you're ahead and can safely fold to raise from this passive-ish...

I raise the turn. A lot of time a bet like that is looking for action. A weak hand is going to bet/fold or check/fold but a strong hand is looking to bet/3-bet. Now he check folded...

Re: I got religion - 500 BB roll for 6-max is the minimum

BIg roll is a must (at least 1000bb). You thin-rollers will realize this when you hit the big one. It just happens. You have a big losing session--oh well. Next day--same thing--damn. Day...

Re: 50-100 hand

You're saying that in most cases bet-3-bet is equivalent to a turn c/r? Don't you think your fold equity would go down with a bet-3-bet (fattening up the pot more)?

Although I think KKF would...

CAn someone tell me why a turn c/r AI is not being seriously considered here? I mean, he should bet after calling a pot sized flop bet and we can rep the made straight by pushing? Wouldn't the fold...

Re: Overplaying small overpair? live 5-3-2

Although the bb is $5 the game is usually loose and astandard raise is a bit higher--around 30 to 35 if you want most to fold.

You hit it spot on though--he had KK and I shouldn't have rr. He...

Re: Overplaying small overpair? live 5-3-2

Does that mean I'm stupid for not interpreting his play as a big hand pf?

The size of the raise was weird. I interpreted it as some kind of 'mix it up' raise or a monster. I expected him to rr if...

Re: Overplaying small overpair? live 5-3-2

So I guess you think I underplayed it. Ok.
Don't read this as result-related, but should those calls make me think I'm already beat?

Thanks for the feedback, hopefully I'll get some more...

Overplaying small overpair? live 5-3-2

Over previous hour villian seems like pretty solid player. Has usually had goods when made a big move, but has been caught bluffing on one occasion.

Both of us have about 1200 in front of us
