Re: 2-5 NL Tough Boston Game

If you are better than 98% why do you mostly lose at this game?

Grow up, act more mature and your play will improve

Re: 2-5 NL Tough Boston Game

Fatal Error-

Are you the really annoying young buck who is overly cocky and thinks he is better than everyone?

This hand occured in the first 2 orbits so I have no reads on any of the players. After the hand occured I payed special attention to the villain and he seemed to play a TAG style, I am pretty damn...

Re: 5/10NL vs. known professional

I had a read on him and did not give him odds to hit the flush with my turn bet. When he called and the river brought the 3rd club and he bet into me i thought about it for a while and folded.

I...

Re: 5/10NL vs. known professional

I do not want to post the results or what action i took on the river yet. I think this hand is one of the more interesting that i have played.

I will say that I would not have raised this...

Re: 5/10NL vs. known professional

I called the flop bet because I knew he was on the draw and that I could outplay him if i called and he didnt hit. lots of good players do this all the time rather than raise.....why play a big pot...

Re: 5/10NL vs. known professional

I think calling the flop bet is fine....what makes things more compliate is that i had the second nut with my set of 99 on the turn. THE FLUSH WAS NOT OUT THERE YET ICEMAN

The only hand i was...

Re: 5/10NL vs. known professional

This pro is loose agressive and will raise with many hands, on all streets, even on a pure bluff. I thought that he was on a flush draw on the flop based on his bet and decided to call to either hit...

5/10NL vs. known professional

Villain has $1650 and is in the BB, I have $1400 two off the button...@ fulltilt 5/10NL 5-handed

UTG Limps, I limp w/ 9c9h, button folds, both blinds call. I dont raise here because I will get...

James Woods

Did anyone else see James Woods at the Foxwoods 5 + 5 NL game on saturday night? I see this game with semi deep stacks (at least for my BR)and would think he plays something higher.

I wonder is he...

Re: kinda deep 2/5 hand

First off I am glad that you got paid off with a set here. I personally would not have taken this line here. I am more inclined to lead out into the initial raiser for somewhere between 50% and 100%...

Re: You know that gray area?

I will take a stab at this.

Villain has 88/99 or just a meager pair of tens. He thinks that no one has an overpair and wants to take the pot down before someone makes the draw.

At best the...

I agree, MAYBE I do need to relax.

You not only told me to get out of the forum but also added no value to the original post. You initiated the arguement and I fell for the trap. Take...

Re: big blind special. discuss.

If we knew more about the villain then the decision will be more clear.

What range of hands does one limp with from UTG. Any kind of decent player will muck A3. 88 / JJ / AA all seem plausible...

Re: big blind special. discuss.

Lets see.

I would be 50/50 on leading out on the flop. This is player dependant. On the turn (if it went check/check on the flop) I would definately bet out. I just dont like your line here.

Re: mirage 2/5 NL hand (strategy and rules issues)

I am not sure I like the laydown here. I probably would have called and expected to see either QQ/JJ from the villain or some crappy A-high. There is no way he has KK or AA or 5.

Re: Set of Crabs

I like a flop reraise here to $150 or $200. If he pushes it is a no brainer for me. If he calls then I would lead the turn for 50%-100% of the pot.

I assume you took his stack or doubled him up...

Re: Flopped the nut flush and got check raised

I do not like your call of the villains check raise.

When he comes over the top for $150 I would be most inclined to reraise. For one, if he has a flush and another heart comes out the action on...

Slow play KK?

Great 5/5NL game on saturday. This hand came up and perplexed my buddy as to why I played it this way.

6 Handed Hero has $1000 behind & villain has me covered @ $2000.

Folded around to hero on...

Re: Is JJ in EP really that problematic

JJ is one of the most difficult hands to play in NL holdem.

If I played in a game where there was constant raising going ON pre-flop I would probably limp from UTG or UTG+1. If there was no raise...

Re: Laying down a set in a raised pot.

I still dont understand a few of the hero's plays:

1) If you think your opponent is slowplaying a set then why would you lead out and then call a raise. My goal, if I thought I was beat would be...
