Re: Deep stacks, calling in position

If you're villain in this hand, how do you combat this sort of play?

Re: Passively played 3 handed line check

I'm no expert, but I like your line, mostly for the reasons you mention. Your line also minimizes the amount you lose if you're behind. If he is getting tricky with KQ or something, he's not going...

TT on Jack high flop

Party 30+3. I felt like I would be pot-committed after any reasonable size bet on the flop. With hindsight, I am questioning that. Is the right move to bet 2/3 of the pot or so and shut down if...

Re: AKo on the bubble -- I fold the damn thing

I don't think this is a joke post and I don't think it's the dumbest question ever. There are times when it is right to fold AK on the bubble.

But I don't think this is one of those times. I...

TPTK on draw heavy board

Party 30+3

I guess my play seems reckless given the call on the flop, but lots of players make this call with just a flush draw.

How would you play it?

Down to 5 chips, opponent has AA (low content)

My aces get cracked and I'm down to 5 chips on the bubble. Next hand I'm all-in and my opponent has AA. Doesn't look good, eh? The stars must have been aligned because I came back to finish in the...

Re: Maniac Image

I definitely wouldn't call, for the reasons you mention. I think my options are all-in or fold.

I'm the big blind, not the button.

50-60%? More like 65% according to my back of the envelope calculation.

Maniac Image

PartyPoker 20+2. The last two hands I received JJ UTG+1 andc QQ UTG. Each time I raised 4xBB and took down the pot pre-flop. This time I look down at TT in the Big Blind.

On the one hand, I...

Re: Fold here?

I agree with your conclusion, but not with your logic. If I think there's a high probability that my opponent has a draw or two overs, I shouldn't fold (I should go all-in). I'd be a big favorite....

I'm not in love with my overbet. But I felt a healthy-size bet was necessary to chase out loose callers. Maybe pot-size would have been...

Re: Overaggressive at 6xBB?

Yeah, my next blinds would be 100/200.

Would you advocate never (or almost never) pushing garbage unless you will lose folding equity with the next round of blinds?

Re: Wackiest hand I\'ve had in a while (Zero content)

How does the "Bad Beat Jackpot" work on Party? I thought you would get some sort of prize for a hand like this.

Re: ITM - thinking of blind stealing - ICM calculations

Assuming this is a standard single table tournament (top three paying), shouldn't this be 20% of prize pool?
