A question on hand one.

Why not lead the flop? Are we counting on MP3 to bet the flop and then the hero traps everyone for two bets? If say the button bets does the hero raise that too? That would force everyone who...

Re: steal gets interesting

Thanks for the replies, I guess it is a bad play to bet everything then just call with a hand. I usually play limit, and I over protected my way out of some money on earlier hands. So I was trying...

Re: Did I play this ok?

I think a 3-bet preflop is a good idea for two reasons. First, there are a lot of overcards to your 9s so you want to force the blinds out. Second, he could be trying to steal or have a big hand if...

Re: What gets under your skin when playing a poker game?

Seeing how I just wasted 30 min I should have been studying during I have to post. What gets me is the Badass at the $5 buying home game who only check-raises, but never enough to force anyone out...

Ever wonder what people write about you in their notes?

I hit a decent streak of hands, like 3 or 4 raising hands in a row, so I pretty much looked like a maniac and I started wondering what people I have played with before have about me in their notes. ...

Re: Betting aggressively on average hands, good idea?

Other then the preflop limp, I probably would have folded. I think you played it fine. When they call they could very easily have KQ, KJ, Q10 ect. If you are going to play A-6s and an ace comes...

Re: Odd situation with a flopped set.

Re: AKo, TP, aggressive opponent

The no reads part of this makes it really tough. Generally against an unknown who caps preflop I give them credit for aces, kings, or maybe ace-king or queens. I would probably just call on the end...

Re: I\'m not going to bet my set

You do not think he has a club and you hope to get him to take a stab at it on the river. This is just a guess. Would you raise the river unimproved if he bets out?

Re: High PP when Ace comes on the river

Does this become an easy fold if you bet and are raised? Assuming the player is not tricky enough to try pull this kind of a bluff? For discussion purposes lets say we are getting 8 to 1 on the...

High PP when Ace comes on the river

I have read a lot about standard lines of play and was interested to see if there was one for the situation where you have a high PP that stops being an over pair on ther river.

For example you...

Re: critique me...

I have not read any of the responses yet because I did not want them to affect my thinking. After that much action preflop I do not think anyone has j-10, ace-king of spades is a possibility. But...

Multi-tabling and variance

Does multi-tabling cut down on variance? I want to say it does because by playing more then one table you get to play more hands which means more opportunities to come back from bad beats. The only...

CO had AK, SB had A8. For the comments on raising the turn I would like it if I thought it would not be 3-bet which I think there is every indication it would be.

reads

sorry about leaving off the reads. I do not have a read for SB, CO usually only plays solid starting hands.

So no one folds this on the flop when it gets back to you capped?

In the first hand, UTG+1 had two small diamonds. MP had aces with the ace of diamonds.

For the second hand MP2 won with ten nine.
