Re: Some interesting statistics on ROI variance

When I first read it I assumed "from one weekend to the next" meant he was comparing one weeks worth of playing to the next weeks.

He makes some great points to keep in mind but the variance of...

MTTs are part of the long term plan. I might reconsider the whole 1 MTT / day thing, though.

Playing the $22s w/ the BR I have right now is just suicidal. Do a Monte Carlo simulation w/...

I can't believe there still isn't an option for that.. or better yet to have it AUTOMATICALLY send you the email without asking!

Maybe if enough of us start requesting it.... Nawwwwwww.

Abel, Maybe you were right on this one but I still have to disagree with the push and say it wasn't worth it. Sounds like you had a slight read on this guy that lead you to the decision though.. As a...

Re: Call or fold this QQ?

I certainly don't play the $215's nor do I multi-table them! BUT, to me it looks like he's got AT and is hoping you had AK, KQ or will push with any pair.. I'm smelling trap. He could be using his...

Re: 2 Short Stack push/folds on $22s

My take...

1ST HAND - Fold. He likely has either AT-AK or a pair. Either you're way behind or slightly behind. Best case you have two overcards.

2ND HAND - Push. Prolly up against two big...

Re: 99 hand, didn\'t know what to do!

Who are you calling "first all-in" and "second all-in" ? You got re-raised by one guy, then another pushed allin. You then folded before the first re-reaiser called the all-in. I'm confused...

Re: First 2,000 SnGs and some random thoughts/questions

Great job Newt! I've got about 500 of the $11-$33's now under my belt and have virtually the same ROI, ITM and finish distribution. I feel much better now seeing this thread.

And by the way,...

Ok, I just ran the ICM calculations... and I'm not sure if I did them right BUT...

Fold = 2200/7000 chips = 31.4% ICM
Call and win = 5000/7000 chips = 71.4% ICM
Call and lose = 0%

If villian...

Re: On the bubble, tied for chip lead, fold AKs to all-in...

AKs v. Ax = ~75% win
AKs v. any two = ~66% win
AKs v. pp (other than AA/KK) = ~46%

Is the difference between villian having a dominated Ax/Kx hand and a "any two" hand that significant to make a...

Re: On the bubble, tied for chip lead, fold AKs to all-in...

Easy call for me. You're at worst a slight underdog to any pair (can't imagine he'd play KK or AA like that!) Against any other hand you're a slight favorite to a dominating position (against Ax or...

Re: Bubble Play and getting in the money....

Lemme guess, you're consistantly at 600-700 in chips when it gets to final 4? According to your stats you make final four 166 out of 196 events. That to me says you're not maximizing the few...
