I'm posting this question that my dad posed to me, and I don't have advice I can give with confidence.
It relates to the middle stages when there are 5ish players and a blind round is getting to be...

Re: What happens when the poker craze ends?

This game will cease when crack-headed maggots like myself stop sliding over there thinking ''anything can happen''. I have finished many a tilt session on that game. I suppose for a player like...

Re: Some help for a tourney newbie please

I´´m a relatively sucessfull tourney junky myself. No pro. Heres a few GENERAL things I notice. And I may be completely wrong, but these 3 things helped my progression.

Re: Bubble Play - is this a leak?

It´s a no brainer-fellow diver. Fact, you got a dream result. You were called by a stack with a hand you had dominated. So he hit it. Big deal. The play was right and the opponent was right.
It has...

Re: A hand for review

This is my 3rd post, because I can think of 2 ways to play this.(one of them EXACTLY like you did) The other is 1. same preflop, 2. Pot bet flop then 3. check and see how his bet defines his hand...

Re: 5th step bubble---thoughts on my play of this hand

Thanks for the replies. As I´m SS with 3 BB´s left, high stack is with 7BB´s left---therefore 2nd stack through 5th are all in the same frame of mind. Exellent point about how I got to that point....

5th step bubble---thoughts on my play of this hand

Bought into first level and worked up to level 5. 6 left, big stack is 2200, I´m small stacked at 940, blinds are 300-150. I find K-9 UTG and go all in.
I feel good about the play--tho I was called...

I´m a developing player--but that means nothing in the context of your question. There is NO QUESTION that confidence breeds success, in nearly all realms of competition.
The best analogy I can...

Re: Advanced-beginner syndrome. Am I approaching my progression properly?

Thanks for your response sir. Did you personally find any pitfalls (my fear) to aggressive play? I am wondering if the microlimits I play aren´t the best place to look for results because I could...

Advanced-beginner syndrome. Am I approaching my progression properly?

Based on the hand rankings from HEPFAP, I am exceptionally tight (20% pf) and rank myself as mid agressive (psych of poker, I´m 2-5ish). Have had rousing success cashing in 50 10dollar UB tourneys,...

Re: How should I have played this hand? (new poster--please help)

After 2 days of solid/tight play (300 entrants)--I got greedy. thought it might be worth more than the blind. Fatal flaw. new it when he called. Bugging me for 3 days--hence the weak post.

Re: How should I have played this hand? (new poster--please help)

Assuming I´m first to act, is there a general rule for the Kicker when going in with an ace(or King)? 9 or higher? Does suited factor in? From middle position or later if first in?
Thanks for the...

Re: How should I have played this hand? (new poster--please help)

Thank you. Your answer confirmed my belief--though I was shaky about it. If I´m on the button am I correct that this is a fold/all in decision?
