Can I call with 9-4 suited?

I was playing at one of the 'Stars $50 NL games earlier, which happened to be a very good game. It was extremely wild, with people raising and calling raises preflop with just about anything except...

Two questionable hands from a session today

I'll start out by saying that I haven't played much poker in the past few months, but today I decided to mess around in a .25/.50 NLHE ring game on 'Stars. I admittedly had a very good run over a...

Re: 109 buy in bust out first hand....

You should consider reading a few books or playing $1 buy-ins instead of blowing your cash in high limit tournaments. Just some friendly advice.

Re: When do you stop pushing AK?

There's really no wrong way to play A-K there, at least in my opinion. You could flat call or reraise to 1,500-2,000. Pushing just screams A-K to me, but it's not a horrible option.

Re: MTT IQ Test

I think that a MTT IQ test would have to have questions about strategy, and not so much about odds. A typical question would ask how to play a hand like this early on against a UTG limper:

Table...

Was this a bad bet?

I haven't been playing much in the past few weeks, but this hand came up tonight. I figured that I couldn't keep 4 other people in with this flop, and that my move didn't look too suspicious because...

Re: Stars 500k QQ hand.. ummm

It looks like he has AJ-AK. You should've either bet the flop or check-raised instead of checking and calling. Your queens are extremely vulnerable if you aren't already beaten. His flop bet just...

Re: Even one more AI call decision, gambleeeee!!!

This situation is an instacall on Pokerstars. Ace-king is the nuts there. I wouldn't know what to do on Paradise.

Re: PokerStars 10+1 with one rebuy and one addon: bad fold?

I just busted out in 200th after opening all-in with my K-10 suited on the button. I only had 9 bbs left, the big blind called with 5-5, and that was that.

PokerStars 10+1 with one rebuy and one addon: bad fold?

The table has been playing loose and aggressive in general, with lots of miniraising. I thought for a while and then folded this:

PokerStars Game #2706362441: Tournament #12956962, Hold'em No...

Re: PS DeepStack, Am I a Donkey?

By the way, if you know you have somebody beat by a large margin, you should risk all of your chips no matter what point in the tournament it is.

J-10 suited. Good fold?

My opponent in this hand has been playing wildly, although he's shown down some good hands. I called based on my pot odds alone. Should I have checked and folded, or should I have played it exactly...

Re: Don\'t bluff a calling station (low content)

Would've been better if he turned over a royal flush.

Re: I played this hand so bad

Well, the thing is, you have no idea where you're at on the flop. You know that your aces have at least an 80% chance of winning against the villain's holdings, but you really have no idea where...

Is this a pretty standard call for all of your chips?

The PFR seemed to be playing very tight. I don't believe I had seem him show a hand down yet to this point. I was thinking about reraising preflop, but another solid player called directly to his...

Re: What\'s the going rate for T$ on PokerStars?

Sorry to anybody that sent me a PM. I'd just been getting pretty disgusted with all the bad bustouts I've been having lately, but I guess I'll just stick it out and use the T$ for future tournaments.

What\'s the going rate for T$ on PokerStars?

I have T$215 that I don't want or need. I'm willing to sell it just below the going rate, but I can't find the rate anywhere.

Oops, sorry about my response yesterday. I thought that the jack of hearts was the river card, not the turn card.

Re: Does anyone else in a touney look down at KK and QQ and think \"Oh

I'm not fond of any large pocket pairs late in a tournament. In the last six large tournaments that I've played in, I've busted out or lost a majority of my chips because some donk sucked out on my...
